so this is where you can post any art related type things! i bet you couldn't have figured that out for yourself, huh! "I" still needs uppercase you dummy - oh yeah!? fight me!
I didn't see raocow ever saying we couldn't post NWS images, but I'll hotlink the less WS images just to be sure, though it freaking says "NWS" in the title so I dunno. Right click and select "view image" because some of these are kinda big and the tables cut 'em off.
woot for learning something every day! Today's lesson: dumping too much stuff on a post will make people unable to respond with anything but a collective positive response or a collectively negative response, like you're awesome or you're awful. but you're stuff, AOD, as I usually think, is awesome, especially that train airstrike thing. but in that first picture with the crazy-annoying perspectives...yeah, I can imagine that having been a nightmare. at least you didn't draw the whole city in the background, just made it all black. the first panel's kinda shaky, though, with the second building on either side. not too bad, but...noticeable. and the second panel, even though I do like it better, it's still kinda like dang that's a sharp cut-off there. I guess that's right but it still looks weird. oh well.
hahahahaha that new one is hilarious. the expressions on their faces, that it's a picture of them at fisherman's wharf, the boobage, their poses, etc...it's not perfect, I mean, I can't tell if the perspective's off, but the arm holding the camera seems huge compared to the body, like even though it's much closer to the camera, is still seems too big where it connects to the body, though the head is the right size for it, which probably means it's wrong 'cause the other one's head is bigger than normal. and where you have the inside of the elbow seems like it leaves no room for the upper arm. I mean, overall the picture looks right, though. It's not until I get all picky and start really looking at it, looking for things to criticize, that I notice a problem. I could be wrong.
which reminds me, how'd that 12-page-12-hour thing go?
Thanks for mentioning it, chrnobog. I know the anatomy's all screwed up. Coral's butt, for example, isn't really foreshortened correctly, and neither is Ally's arm there. I mostly drew this to practise drawing in a really skewed angle.
Also, the 12 hour comic was kind of a failure, but it got me drawing again and that's what counts.
Nicely done! I really like the contrast in expressions and outfit colours. My only crititcism is that the lettering on the bracelet is a bit off. But besides that, pretty sweet.
hmm, Candlestriders? that's kinda cool. It looks cool. but two things I kinda have a question about...
so, the stomach comes out of their body, grabs a plant with those knobby things, and then pulls it back up into the body? With their long legs...darn that's either a lot of work for the stomach or are they able to lower their bodies enough to get their stomachs farther down? Though, you said the fungus they eat grows in lava pools...I hate to be all nit-picky, but doesn't fungus just grow on dead stuff? seems like wherever you see it, it's either part of a symbiotic relationship or it's hanging on the decaying bark of a tree, or on old food. It's not that big of a deal, I actually just kinda had the thought to question it while I was writing this, even. But what's dying in a lava pool, you know? I know these Candlestriders apparently live near lava pools or something if they're eating these things that live in them and need to be resistant to lava...
I actually looked it up online to make sure you didn't steal it from something else ('cause it reminds me a lot of science fiction alien-type things) and found your deviantart page with it, so I know you just kinda got this other stuff going on while you were drawing, but, well whatever, I'm just saying stuff.
second thing, which doesn't have much to do with the drawing...how come when I look at your drawings on this forum, there's some of it cut off, but then when I just accidentally glanced at the previous posts when typing this, the whole image is there? I guess it's just the size of the page giving limits to how wide the picture is, but that's...kinda dumb...
anyway, sorry for yet another long criticism that's probably much longer than it needs to be!
cool design, though. though for some reason I keep thinking of evolution and would this make any sense whatsoever to evolve this way? like with all the cool loops (or tubes?) and stuff on its legs? but whatever.
Yeah, it's the forum format that makes it cut off. You can still view the full sized images by rightclicking and clicking "View Image". Thanks for the crit, man.
Funguses are weird, actually. They're kind of the catch-all kingdom where things that are clearly not bacteria, animals, or plants go.
A tiny sketch of a farmhouse on the margins of my notes. For reference, the width of the lines around the windows is the width of my 0.5 mechanical pencil lead.

Do not deny it
My personal goal is to make 200 great posts.
Take my postcount, and subtract 1400.
Thats how many good posts i've made
This is titled: "Creep Into The Vagina Of A Living Whale"
Inspired by this strange and nonsensical phrase of performance artist Nam June Paik's Danger Music No. 5, I drew this thing. Because sometimes, one is inspired to put aside conventional reason, slice of life comics, or stylized action and simply draw something very unusual.
Typical of me, I only noticed that her shoulder was offset by several inches after I started to scan it.
