Here is a list of all sprites that are changed as global changes for the hack.
Level specific sprites aren't included. That is, if you have sprites that you want to use in your level, feel free. They just aren't added to this list.

Also, please bear in mind that a lot of sprites on this list are still being worked on.

If you want to contribute to any sprite that's not yet in the list, please use the Sprite Changes topic.

I had eyeball pokeys as an alternative to the boxes of whatever since I don't think people were happy with them? Boxes were around first, though, so they get first stab at the swap

Also you should have called it "Global Graphic Changes" so we could include other stuff without people - I mean YCZ - going BUT THAT'S NOT A SPRITE

There was an alternative to monty mole and goomba from Oracle of wuffing, though it may not apply for a global change:

Also he changed the coins to stars. Most people seem unwilling to change the coins. Personally i'd be for it but oh well.


Also can i make a suggestion: To keep this topic from getting cluttered and need searching, how about we keep everything in the first post by Kilon, but then delete any suggestions we make once they have been fulfilled. That way it'll be easy to keep track of if anything else needs to be done, and that sort of thing.

Hop down to this post, as that pokey graphic is kinda impossible to implement due to pixels being pixels and that link will take you to the actual "Possible" graphics\.

@flameofdoubt: I added the Goomba as option, but I really don't like Marisa's head as a Mega Mole. the first time I saw it, I thought it was some sort of object. That would make more sense. But if more people want it added as suggestion, I won't hesitate to add it.

@Tim: I'm not adding anything until it is either an image or a video. Sorry, but that's how I decided to do it. Maybe I should have made that more clear. Maybe Fawriel can add that to the OP of the sprite Changes topic (just like a link to this topic)

@Argumentable: I don't think that could do much harm when you slightly upgrade those graphics. I don't think you should change it completely though.

Would you still think it was some sort of object if you saw it moving like a Mega Mole? That is, uh, if you had seen it in a video as opposed to a picture. Also, should The Noid Lakitu be on the list? I know some people don't like it 'cause it's not original, but the list already has Zangief Neckbeard and Mega Man Bullet Bills, so that's kind of a funny distinction to make. It's kinda running unopposed, though maybe I'll do a soda machine instead if I get the time.

By the by, something I've been meaning to ask for a while, what exactly do you mean by "Graphics for savestations"?

Since Charles' Castle is going to consist of as many levels as we have people who wants to contribute them, it is obviously going to be a very long level, and unreasonable to do completely savestateless. Therefore, that level will have some kind of "save points" where raocow can put a savestate, and the save point will need some kind of graphics. Personally, I was thinking about something along the lines of the Super Metroid save points, but we haven't decided anything yet.

The muncher yoshis use the unused second half of the original muncher palette, so that is not a problem.

Isn't there some Muncher Temple, though, that relies on the regular version? I'd thought it was for this hack, unless I was mistaken. If it's at a reasonable place on the map, could every Muncher before it be regular? Or, alternatively, every muncher AFTER the Yoshi-based level could be the Yoshi version? How will it work?

I believe in YCZ's level, the munchers are considered very ancient, so I guess the original munchers only survived in that temple.
