I like the idea very much. The level looks very cool. I don't know which sibling this would work for though. We have Pily which is fire, so I think we can scrap that. Then there is Iris and Science. I guess Science would be more fitting. I imagine the Iris room/fight to be more traditional because Iris is the most demo-like or something (I forget the story).

Thank you. I don't know much about the story, but with the little I have read about Science I think I could make something without using ASM.

Some questions; Are those supposed to be parts of the last level or are they actual castles? What resources do you get (A level or just sub-levels, parrot coins, chest)? How long can those be? With layer 2 and no vertical scrolling, this sub-level will be really fast to play through even once completed.

Because of the way the "Fast BG Scroll" command works, that is sections of layer 1 (the diagonal white bars) scrolling after layer 2 (the colour tiles), there is a very specific stair like pattern in which I can build the level without having foreground tiles scroll by. That explain why I can't really make it more compact.

Here's what I think could work with Science.

First, what I uploaded as the first area, then a similar but vertical area in which "normal" words would scroll in the background and others "lethal" red words would be bullet bills. That would work with the "Attacks with floating text sometimes." thing. It could be followed by a room with raocow's drawing in the background and perhaps Science as an unreachable graphic swapped lakitu (if I can figure out how to get rid of the cloud). Does it makes sense to have Science both in the background and as an enemy and would the whole thing fit with what you guys had in mind?

These are just sublevels at the end of an already-made level. You don't need to put any parrot coins or chest in. You can use any resources you may need (exgfx, map16, etc.). Just claim it in the signups thread.

The way we planned on making the boss sublevels would be one sublevel using the boss background. You should try to keep it short, so I'm not sure how having multiple sublevels would feel. These guidelines aren't rock-solid, so you can try different things, and we can see if they work out.

Right. Like you know, I can't have a background in the part I already made. If I can use two 16 screens sub-levels (which would be equivalent in length to a full one), I could make the second room with the intended background. If that works, I'd like to reserve Science's section and I'd start working on it tomorrow.

I had an idea for Iris. So I'm looking into the feasibility. If anyone has input or suggestions, it could be really helpful.

I'd basically like to do something like this.

Leod mentioned HuFlungDu made something along these lines for Karoshi Mario, so I just contacted him about it, asking for some advice, but if anyone has experience with controller hijacking or what might go into duplicating a Mario sprite in general, I could use some help finding a starting point.

Just a random thought, if you guys want an obscure boss that's humanlike, hard, and is female, there's the Transformed Sue downloadable here. By hard, I mean you need to fix the painfully long pauses, and have a better battle arena. Graphics swap it with one of the siblings and bam!

It's a dynamic boss though, so you'll need to insert that rather space eating patch :v

There's quite a few bosses, but the trouble is no one is actually doing the sibling halls right now.

Is this the place to sign up for a sibling hall? I'll take Pily. I can do a fire level. However I need to know a few things first.

1: What versions of Lunar Magic am I allowed to use?
2: What level number should I use for the hall?
3: Is Pily supposed to be a hard boss or a medium boss?

Optional question to answer:
About how many screens long should it be?

I made a level, but I'm not sure how to do the background thing. I think I am stuck at the edit1754's online bg ripper part of Cup's directions. I tried the link in his post, but it takes me to some literally random website. Is edit1754's online bg ripper some tool? If so how do I get it?

Does anyone know how to control what map16 pages the ripping tool recommends? Right now it is conflict with someone else's claim. Expect an ips soon.

The on/off level was courtesy off Cousinoer5! I will ask him to change it... If I cant contact him anymore then thats part off the level....

PS; Cousinoer5 and myself are specialised in making kaizo like levels.... I hope this is good enough... If you want more innovative from us... well just tell us but we cant guarantee anything!

Sadly, wonder why no one wants one of these. Other people who submit levels just take off, but don't realize these other levels unfinished hold them and the project back. I guess I'll be doing iris now. Someone else should request a thing as well.
