i hate making so many topics but i want to make a poll and take ideas for a third option because goddamn
so what music should we use for slots 0 and 100, the bonus room?

if you want to pick another music track feel free to give an example

I think it's by John Pee (Mitsuhito Tanaka)?

The only port of it is a very 2009 ass one by Carol, but I think I can SPC2MML something out of it. I do want more THG ports, that game owns, so. I just worry about any Content ID issues involving whomever the fuck owns Hello! Ma Baby because I saw a partial OST upload of this game skip this song? They also skipped another jingle for when you find an OOPArt tho, basically the McGuffins of the game, so they might have some other reason.

This is the theme of the frog casino where you pay with frogs you catch around the non-battle maps to play minigames iirc, so the Michigan J. Frog reference is most likely on purpose.

But yeah I'm just incredibly biased because Treasure Hunter G is legit one of my favorite games ever and possibly one of my Top 3 on the SNES, even with the messy translation patch.

I voted for the A2MT one at first then I listened to your pick for a new one and had to change my vote to it. Fingers crossed it isn't a contentID risk, but in the event that it is would a no-samples version or otherwise different arrangement help at all?

I could try uploading the original song alone unlisted onto my channel and see if it alerts anything. It shouldn't because the samples are different but Capitalists


Here's carol's version, biggest issue is the empty instrumentation, I feel only four channels are being used, which is disgraceful

I'm glad everyone enjoys my choice, Sting's composers make some good ass music. For example, Yggdra Union is an all-timer, shout outs to SOPHIA's later Megaman hacks for making me aware of it. Shout out to Square-Enix's too since they published it and Hitoshi Sakimoto made some tracks.

Need to continue Riviera GBA soon and play the rest of the Dept. Heaven games and the non-canon spinoffs (they need a translation stat). Solid Runner and Dokapon Kingdom too, maybe the Noire spinoff. Their entries (entry?) in the Generation of Chaos series look pretty fun too, but Idea Factory is very hard to stomach.

The SMW port you linked feels a bit cheesy to me, but if it got an updated port it might work well.

I've been browsing smwc just see if there's any other possible music, but I can't really find anything. The only thing I can come up with is this track that hasn't been ported, but with no music people around, i doubt we can get a port (also I'm biased)

I am technically a music people? And I think I might be able to extract the sequence with vgmtrans? I need to check how TG16 soundchip compatibility works with it, I've mostly used it to extract PSX note data, Arc the Lad, Summon Night 2 etc.

TG16/CD owns too so dw.

I basically just can't do original music and original graphics (^^;)
