Don't you have a webcomic that you never got around to making? ;)

I missed you too AOD. :)

I've pretty much ditched the idea of making a webcomic because I realized I didn't really care about webcomics at all (honestly the only webcomic I like enough to keep reading is Homestuck). But God willing I'll start making animated shorts for a Youtube Channel once I've gotten a handle on the skills required to make them not-cringeworthy.

I think I've heard about the McKnack pack before, I think I used it quite a lot or something. I can't really recall.

Yeah, it's one of my more well known works because I bandwagoned on Minecraft for a bit. And also the default is ugly as crap.

The last animation there is pretty neat, but it looks a little "floppy", somehow. A bit too soft. If you made the movements a bit more punchy and tightened them up a little, pushed the gestural stuff a bit more, did a bit more squash and stretch, I think it'd be great. But really good progress so far -- have you ever taken a course on animation?

The ironic thing is that Hometuck hasn't updated in 10 months.

Still waiting.

Yeah. I've taken an introduction to 2D animation class. It wasn't very in-depth and was more wired towards game development than anything else, but it put names to principals I kinda already knew about from my 12 years of sprite animation. It's funny to think that those dumb little gifs I made actually gave me a decent grasp of things.

And thanks for the critique! You're actually the first to even give me any specific comments on it. Honestly I wish ComicDish's forums were still active because in hindsight it was probably the only place I could get any real, honest critiques. Too bad I didn't appreciate it back then, which I will forever apologize for.

I did kinda have a sense that specific parts were kinda floppy looking but I couldn't really figure out a way to solve the issue. Maybe I should just suck it up and add more frames for the faster movements. It's kindof a difficult scene to manage because the audio is definitely on the more serious side, so it's harder to guage how much squash and stretch would still be fitting. Though i think adding proper facial animation should help out quite a bit with the gestures.

Oh hey I actually finished something!

lol no vimeo embed.

This was kinda my testing grounds for how much time and effort it would take to make a fully rendered animated action. Unlike my last one (the guy running into a pole), this one was made in actually decent software.

I like how it came out but I still feel like there's room for improvement.

Any and all comments and criticisms would be greatly appreciated. :)

I did infact expect

danky krang

. Isn't all art just

danky krang

in various forms of perception?

Anyways, nice art you have here.

That is really gosh-darned adorable and acute and super nice colorful. I like how the shell fragments look like armor.

Haha, I'm glad that came through actually. This was made for a re-design collab on MFGG, where people redesign Mario characters. I choose baby yoshi, and thought it'd be cool if, after hatching, a baby yoshi keeps some of it's shell on itself as a sort of protection before it becomes strong enough to fend for itself.

Also it just looks cooler.
