Art Things That I do Sometimes

Post by Redsy »

Um yes, so I do art things sometimes.
I'm really lazy though, and haven't done anything recently. I have 2 ongoing projects that I'll get around to eventually. Also I'm only posting my kinda maybe good things >_>

Most of these are fairly old, as I stated I haven't done anything really recently.

So here's this thing that I had to do for grade 10 level photographics class (this was last year), it took way too many hours, I'm a try-hard, I handed it in like 4 weeks late, but still got 100% on it. v.v
Note to self though: Never do scratchboard art ever again ever.

Image
Warning: quality of things decreases much from here.

This was a request from a best friend, and I did get it done in time for his birthday, and I meant to take a better picture of it because this one's kinda blurry, but then I mailed it to him before I remembered to take a better picture, so..
This one also took many hours. The paper was a really huge size, so drawing all those orchids was a very large pain. Stayed awake for many hours to finish this, and now orchids remind me of the terrible taste of instant coffee.
Image
Wow this was done 2 years ago already. I think this was when I broke through a wall into the realm of better skills, or something. Chalk Pastel.
Image
A scene from Clannad, it was a request. Took me a while to get the background how I wanted it.
Image
L, from Death Note. I've never watched Death Note, and I will continue to do so, most likely. I realize the hand is abnormally large, but charcoal is difficult to erase sometimes. This was another request.
Image
A hipster scarecrow in a wheat field with a purpley sky. This didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to, but eh. Watercolour.
Image
Roy Mustang, from FMA, another request. It looks much worse irl, unfortunately.
Image
A thing for my grade 11 art class this year, people seemed to really like this one. Idk.
Image
Another thing for art class. Peas. I don't know why we had to draw peas, but whatever >_>
Image
Anooother thing for art class. 10 points to whoever can figure out what this is, cause people seemed to not be able to.
Oil pastels, which I actually really don't like.
Image
Art class was basically the only reason I got things done. It was last semester though, so.
This assignment was instruments and fragmentation. I've actually fixed some things since this photo was taken, but nothing too notable.
Image
This is about the best I've tried to do on photoshop. I'm pretty terrible yet. Someone should teach me. I only have CS2 though, because it was free.
Image
Dragonair with my old tablet on photoshop. I have a nice good new one now.
Image
Ummm yeah, I've done other things, but nothing really worth posting, so.
Let me know what you think, I guess ;3;

Also, I might have to check the sizes on some of these photos, cause they might be too big. >_>

EDIT: orrr all of them. That's cool.
Incoming edits.

Oh. My. Gosh.
You're amazing at what you do sometimes.

Standouts are definitely the cupcake and flowers. And of course the scratchboard art.
My gods the scratchboard art.

Oh my Madoka Kaname, these are really good! Amazing job, Red!

You get brownie points for the Dragonair pic. Dratini and Dragonite are two of my favourite Gen 1 Pokémon I stopped caring about Pokémon back in 2009 and kinda moved on to Digimon recently, but I'm currently playing a bit of Pokémon Red (I haven't played Gen 4 or 5 and I might as well re-play Gen 1, 2 and 3), and Dragonair is part of their evolutionary family, so yeah!

You should hide your full name there before Ashanmaril finds this thread, BTW~

Updated pics, they're smaller now.

Thanks guyssssss ;3;

As for having my full name on there, I really don't actually care. I thought about editing it out, but I'm lazy, so..

But yeah, Dragonair is my favourite pokemon >w<

Whoa, I love your nudge to cubism here. If I didn't know better, I'd probably think it'd be a work from the mid 1910's. Simply wonderful.
The cupcake is amazing, too. I think you're seriously one of the best artists we've seen posting here in a while (especially since you do more than just anime/bigface stuff). Art school seems to have been the perfect choice for you. I hope we'll get to see more from you in the future!

Mine is a tie between the following:
Blastoise charizard sucks, venusaur is pig disgusting
Machoke
Dratini
Dragonite
Misdreavus
Corsola
Absol
Sableye

Also I haven't played Gen 4 yet, but Mismagius, Shinx and Luxray look pretty neat!

I am literally the worst person when it comes to deciding between one thing or another.

D'awwww thankssss ;__;
Also, I'm not actually in art school, I'm just in highschool. Lol. It was just a simple art class that I did. I plan on going to pastry school after I graduate~
I also hope I get to see more stuff from me in the future.

I actually skipped Gen 4, as well. I've played Gen 5 though, and unlike mostly everyone else, I look forward to Gen 6.

My other favourites are, in no particular order:
Bulbasaur
Togekiss
Dunsparce
Magikarp
Umbreon
Leafeon
Milotic
Mareep
Can't think of any others.. ._.

This website is fun, it gets you to decide which pokemon you like between 2, and it goes through all 649 of them, and determines which ones you liked the best~

Oh, recently I draw things on this one whiteboard at school. Zelda things.
I've only drawn 2 so far, but since people keep erasing them or drawing over them, I'll have to update them often. I'll draw a new one on Monday ._.

Yes I realize Link just doesn't look right in this, but I didn't have time to fix him. Also Zelda's hair was done really quickly, because I almost forgot to draw it, and I had to leave like right after, so that's why that looks bad >_>
Image
This one is significantly better, and took much less time for some reason.

Awwh, thanks~
The scarecrow just kinda came out of nowhere cause I wanted to practice watercolours, and I wanted to make a purpley sky. So then I drew a scarecrow. I don't know.
The most important thing is that I didn't use a reference picture or anything.
And no I don't have that weird of a top 10 >:/
