Spoilers: It turns into a cacophony of pots and pans being banged on by a bunch of pimple-faced teenagers while another group sings hymns to Satan, accented by the cries of a thousand dying bats and filled out by amen breaks and Betty White on cowbell.

I'm looking forward to releasing it :D

Song art for "Blossom Into The Beautiful You" still isn't done, sorry fellas! In the meantime though, if any musically-inclined people want to take a shot at a remix I've got a remix pack up and ready to go, just PM me for the pack :) If I get enough people doing remixes I like I'll just straight-up come out with a remix EP. (With every musician's consent, of course. We can talk details and legality.)

I was looking around for a video like this and I'm so happy I found it. I live in the desert, so unfortunately I don't get snow where I live. And I love snow, I love the chilly temperature, I love the emotions and atmosphere that come bound up with it. So I wanted to just find a video with somebody taking a walk by themselves and just taking in the snowy atmosphere around them. I like this guy.

For some reason I felt like plonking on a simple bell melody with his audio, so that was a thing that happened. I dunno~ It's late and I just got a random idea to do this.

I don't know why I'm trying since I don't know the first thing about producing orchestra and I kind of hate the intense scrutiny of theory I see people who make and listen to orchestra appear to exhibit.

Canyon Ride Remastered

As the tin says, I remastered Canyon Ride a little bit (At least I THINK that’s what it’s called, I’m still confused on the difference between mixing and mastering, maybe this is just a better mix.)

Removed fruity limiter from the master insert (I am so freaking sorry, all of my early songs have this because I never knew it was a bad thing until very recently), added a compressor onto the bass and melody to bring it up a few decibels, fixed velocities on the kick and snare since I’d set them low in the original for some reason, added on an EQ preset onto the melody and bass (Sorry, I still don’t know my way around an EQ on my own), panned everything a little bit, added a little bit of reverb to the toms (NO REGRETS YOLO REVERB EVERYTHING HIYAH.)

The stereo field can’t be filled out entirely well since there really isn’t a whole lot going on here sonically, so things are only panned ever so slightly.

Fixed volume levels and clipping issues, master stays at an almost constant 0 to -1 range

Messing around with sample-based music, heavily concentrating on the mix and disregarding melody. Really wanted to get something with a machine-like feel to it that's very technical and "pristine" I guess you could call it, somewhat accomplishing what I set out to do.

Ambience, quick song put together, two days of work total, did it to kind of relax from the work I was doing on the next song in this post. Did a minor key and went for a sad feeling.

High-Flying Adventure, Let's Go!
Orchestral, finished version of the earlier WIP, kind of happy with it and kind of not, was interesting to try a new genre and a new VST though. Not sure if I'll be doing more orchestral things in the future, I kind of doubt it at this minute in time but who knows.

Idea for this one spawned with a musician on Tumblr telling another musician that their piano was too dry and boring and a remedy was to lay a preset over it, in this case a Massive preset (If you know your VSTS you'll get it)

So I tried just that kinda sorta, it came out sounding pretty neat.

I'm pretty terrible about the way I release things right now, I released that ages ago on Soundcloud and the reason I withheld an easy buy/download was because I wanted to put it on an album, but recently I've found that I'd rather just release singles instead of trying to cobble an album together with my perfectionist expectations of an album being as they are.

Wow, you have a LOT of output! I like the freedom in your style. You're not afraid to experiment (like in Let Us Experiment!) and I like that. I haven't listened to everything but I enjoyed what I heard. I enjoyed the beat oriented stuff more than the ambient/orchestral but that's just my personal bent. You do both worlds well. Blossom Into The Beautiful You is particularly emotional.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I think most people are. There's nothing wrong with making lots of short sketches.

Various successful people have said about the same thing. There's this misconception that talent is always a natural-born thing, and although some people take to something right away and produce amazing things, that's the exception to the rule.

The best thing you can do is just start making stuff and keep on making it, so, I've taken that to heart I think.

I don't know if I've already talked about this on here but my Bandcamp has an alternate purpose: To show progress. I have made a vow to myself that anything uploaded to Bandcamp stays, no matter what my feelings are. Two of the albums I absolutely despise, Feel is hit or miss at this point leaning more towards miss. But, I have made progress, I make songs now sometimes that I actually like listening to after they're done. Sometimes I'll just throw on Blossom or Canyon Ride and just enjoy myself for the duration of the song.

Updates on work: My Bandcamp is now more visually pleasing thanks to gift art by a friend of mine, the design overall I'm liking so check that out if you haven't been there recently.

I am working on trying to make some songs that have marketable/sharable value. So we'll see how that goes~ I don't know how soon I'll be able to come out with them since I've been rather busy with gaming. Been getting into some new games, I had the AP LP I was doing, and now that MaGL2 is done I shall be attempting to LP that once the rankings start to be released by Rao.
