What an absolute abomination. At least (minimal)(Maximal) has some vaguely interesting setups. Runner up is that one mountain level, literally what was the thought process behind that shit.

Criticizing the levels, not the creators. It's like how MaGMML2 has your (and my) least favorite level for all the frustration that comes within the actual place. I don't like it, but I have no problem with the person that made it. In other words, I don't think this thread creates any drama.

It's like how MaGMML2 has your (and my) least favorite level for all the frustration that comes within the actual place.

It's really not like level contests at all. In level contests, people sign up in order to get constructive feedback on their work and compete against others.
Our least favourite level also has already had everything said about it that can and needs to be said. In RoahmMythril's LP of it, the MaGMML2 team had to step in to weaken the commenters' endless shittalking.
I have nothing against giving feedback on something and calling it out for its flaws, but there's a point where everything has been said and any anger is just out of sheer spite. This thread is crossing that line I think in that its sole purpose is "haha remember how crap that was wow i fucking hate it still". It's not criticism, it's a messed up kind of toxic "celebration".
Of course it could be turned into a constructive discussion, but the problem with that is that the discussed candidates have already been discussed at length in the youtube comments on the respective video, and I think after these initial outbursts of anger at a level, people should move on to viewing it in a neutral way and not return to that stage.

I think the criticism of this topic has a good point. Given that YUMP 38 appears to have gone out of its way to actually attempt to be the worst Mario level, though, I didn't mind voting for it in this case.

I'mma have to agree with Zyg and Enjl here, bringing back levels that everyone's already opened fire at back when raocow played them just for the sake of dragging them through the mud one last time does come across as kinda spiteful. Y'all can say "separation of creator and creation" all you like, but all this thread is really accomplishing in the end is (1) throwing more negativity in the general direction of people who either won't ever know and/or care or are already remorseful and (2) determining which level most deserves to live out in infamy on a geddang forum userbar.

It's really about how folks conduct themselves within the given thread. I think the topic could be sustainable if it was people simply sharing their votes and points in a fun and civil way, without turning into back-and-forth heated debates. We were able to have that in past Mosts.

The difference there is the talkhaus as a whole doesn't have a habit of wholesale shitting on raocow LPs or mainstream games, and the MaGL X2 threads were expressly for putting in "least favourite" banners in the compilation. This thread serves no such purpose. And frankly, if you trust the talkhaus to talk about "the worst Mario level" in a fun and civil way I'm not convinced you've been in a single Mario LP thread in your time here :v

The thread itself had been fine for the most part through the first page! Well, there's no law that says there has to be a banner for this made anyway. It's just a worst level deal here. That's all. I don't even know who made any of these off the top of my head, and I'm fine with keeping it that way. If even one person goes for personal attacks, though, I'll close the thread in a heartbeat.

That's my call on this one anyway.

I'll hold off on using exact quotes but I'm seeing words like "torture", "agonizing", etc. in that first page. They're not direct personal attacks but it's the same kind of language that shows up in the LP threads and Youtube comments in the fallout of such levels. It still contributes to a negative atmosphere that invites more abrasive comments, and it still brings attention to past regrets that the creators would prefer to move on from.

Like, to me this comes across as "petty littering is okay as long as you don't dump sewage in our drinking water". That small-scale pollution really adds up when so many people do it.

Ah, my mistake. I was led to believe it was on a main path and was therefore mandatory. I stand corrected.

(I didn't watch the whole LP... just that one video. So I wasn't sure of its exact position.)
