Overall a fantastic year for raocow series, but I think I have to go for Dynamite Headdy. For me, it just left a bitter taste.

Something about that game just never clicked for me. A lot of the game's technical production seemed unfinished (stuff like the sound design, visual clarity, areas being way too dark to see anything, etc), the design doesn't seem to have aged that well, and the one thing most people seem to think makes the game what it is (the writing) I also couldn't get into. So it basically just fell flat for me on all fronts.

I don't remember why (and I could be mixing it up with something else), but I recall getting fairly bored with Level Contest Japan. Watching Dynamite Headdy and Earthworm Jim without any nostalgia for the games also wasn't that compelling for me, and Earthworm Jim also had a tendency to lean on gross humor at times which I pretty much always dislike.

I'll admit there are a lot of B-side games that don't really appeal to me, but something about that one was just... I dunno

Oh come on guys. YUMP was rough and frustrating at times, but it was also entertaining and worthwhile. The highs and lows made it dramatic and worth watching every day. I wouldn't want a world where raocow didn't attempt it and we didn't witness that.

I'm gonna be unpopular voting for All the Megamen. I don't have a history with megaman, and every time I've tried dipping into the LP I haven't found anything clever or interesting to hold my attention, and raocow's so familiar with MM that I can't get my preferred "observe how a game reveals and teaches itself to a new player" fix, either. Credit for the ambition though, and the excellent LP name.

EDIT: Not that this is even close to a complaint. This is a series raocow wanted to do badly enough that he added a new daily upload to his routine. And I'm vaguely glad it exists, even if I'm not watching most of it.
