It wasn't the most polished game but it was one heck of a phenomenon. Dunno how closely Overwatch's fan community and install base compare, and Final Fantasy 15 also just came out.

Looks quite fun if you just watch it without thinking about it too much.

Kirby: Planet Robobot because I've played all of six or seven games released this year, and it was easily the best.

Phoenix Wright: Spirit of Justice

It came between this and Bravely Second, but I enjoyed Spirit of Justice just a little bit more.
And I guess it also technically came out in 2015, but it wasn't localized til 2016

I also really enjoyed Planet Robobot and Spirit of Justice but just in terms of hours invested it's def OW.
