If anyone's interested in seeing what's cookin' then too bad. All I have to show is a blog where I sometimes post stuff that's being worked on. Order a pizza or something, I forgot to cook.

Wait, SMW Ninji?
You can't do that in the base game with a mask and a flag or two?

Looking forward to someone remaking SMW on this engine.
Re: development news more like d.,, npcs
Don't wanna seem like that guy but I'm gonna be that guy...when is save stating going to be supplied for SMBX 2.0? I heard there was code being worked on for that and while I do play games legit it would be nice to have the option.
Re: development news more like d.,, npcs
Savestate.lua is in beta3, but it has some drawbacks. It doesn't work for everything (such as events and moving layers), and it won't apply to any lua code, so it's kind of a half-way house.
Proper savestating is... incredibly difficult to implement. I won't say it's impossible, but it's not exactly top of the dev team's priority list so I wouldn't bank on it happening any time soon.

There's no SMBX NPC so far that accurately acts like the ninji in SMW

You really did get a huge boost recently. I guess the break helped too.

I'm confused. How is NPC 77, the SMW Ninji, different from the actual SMW ninji?Enjl wrote: ↑7 years agoThere's no SMBX NPC so far that accurately acts like the ninji in SMW

SMBX's SMW Ninji moves and jumps over gaps. Their behaviour is somewhat similar to this guy's.ztarwuff wrote: I'm confused. How is NPC 77, the SMW Ninji, different from the actual SMW ninji?
SMW's Ninjis appear only in Bowser's Castle and behave like this. They're stationary and jump after a short time. Their jumpheight follows the pattern mid-high-low-low.
SMBX's SMB2 Ninji somewhat resembles the stationary Ninjis in SMB2, though even their behaviour is off.

Oh, I see. It's such a tiny difference, I didn't even notice.Enjl wrote: ↑7 years agoSMBX's SMW Ninji moves and jumps over gaps. Their behaviour is somewhat similar to this guy's.ztarwuff wrote: I'm confused. How is NPC 77, the SMW Ninji, different from the actual SMW ninji?
