I'm a little bit confused about the "One or more exits using the SMB3 exit star" part.

I got a normal end and a secret exit in my level, so I should use the normal SMB3 exit star twice?

Okay, I have a last minute question that's pretty much the last thing I need to do to complete my level.

So, I have a door that's moving down on a falling layer. How do I get it to warp to a static point in a separate section? It kind of murders you instantly if you enter it, warping you down the screen on the same section. I assume that the door exit is moving as well, in the other section, making it go below the bottom of the screen and killing you, but I don't really know.

I've thought of a workaround already, but it's kinda clunky and I'd rather make it just warp you there cleanly.

Okay, so I managed to get my level done today, and I've just PM'd it to Horikawa... but the PM is sitting in my Outbox. Does that mean it hasn't sent properly?

I think so. It will force the player to get both of the exits, if they want to get all the stars.

I don't know a good way to fix this. Enlarging the exit room and moving the warp upwards enough to not warp the player into a wall should help.

It means that Horikawa has not read it yet, and that you can still edit the message if you want to.

It works. Thanks!

Finally finished my level. And I must say, I'm pretty disappointed.

Here are the names I didn't choose:

Personally, I Think That Mario Is Missing Is a Very Protective and Thoughtful Experience. I Captured That Here
When America Was Very Flashy, Piranha Plant Were Examined in the Skies
Finitely Extend in Lying Villa
Hitch a Ride on the Wise Maraca Guy Even Though It's Too Alive

Eughhhhhhhhhhhhhh finally done.

I'm allowed to post here horikawa told me as such a while back, even though the title name says otherwise.

But mannnn.

The level that I made is not very good, it's jambly, it's wayyyy too hard, but it's honestly probably the most 'raocow' thing I have ever done. It was in part a reaction to the previous contest, where peeps said it 'barely had any level design'.
There... there ya go.

Looking forward to replaying this in a few monthes when I completely forgot how to do anything.

a raocow level that's way too hard? never thought I'd see that.

I kept putting off my level and then whipped it up in two days. I don't think it's great, but it has some pretty colors at least.

I'd say it's not that extreme, but I've always been a poor judge of my own stuff while I'm doing it.

consider it... 'asmt' hard.

I don't think you're alone there. I'm a terrible judge of the difficulty in my own levels. I'm never sure if I struggle at something because it's too hard, or I'm just bad, and I'm never sure if I can do something easily because it's too easy, or I've practised too much.

My level is wacko with the difficulty, it sorta goes all over the place.

Ohhh yes, been a while since we've seen a good old-fashioned way-too-hard raocow level. I for one am excited.

I don't think that's such an uncommon mindset. I feel the same way. I toned down a lot of difficult stuff in my stage, because it was just... frustrating initially. But it might still be too hard? I dunno. Like I said before, I like how my level came out better this year than last year, but I also don't have as high of hopes for it, either. But then, I always doubt myself, so. Who knows? Maybe everyone will love it and I'm worrying for nothing. :P

I would say my level is fairly easy. Not much happens and there isn't really a penalty for failing a jump other than having to climb back up, and it isn't a very far distance if you fall.

Hmm.... put into perspective, I'd have to say my level's on average vanilla Bowser Valley-ish.

I think I managed to get close to the difficulty progression I wanted in my level, but even when I was working on it I wasn't sure if the last real part of it spiked too much. It's a bit of a gauntlet, least as much of one you can have in such a small space.

Another person worried about their level's difficulty here, really should've had it done a week ago and forced people to test it
At least I was able to clear it without ever taking damage but had a lot of practice at it so I'm still worried

Incidentally, I decided to tone the general difficulty of my level down... I'm a heavy advocate of "this requires actually caring, any human can do it if he/she is just patient and not stubborn, and it's not just mindless spam/BS" difficulty, but this gets me in trouble with people way more often than not, so I told myself to do something softer from the start instead...

Basically I'm worried my level is too easy but also too long to warrant the ease, thus is probably not engaging in the slightest `~`

The important thing to remember: Is it difficult because it's actually tough, or is it difficult because of glitches and weird physics (lol HMS Suboptimal or whatever it was called)

Anyway I'm going to do something super special for people! If you're nearing done and want some feedback, I'm going to be setting aside the next 2-3 hours to test levels for those who are still going! As a bonus round I'm even going to be livestreaming so you'll get live reactions and stuff!

That means that other people might see your level; that said, the stream's going to be private and only linked to those who actually have levels for me to test. And so there will obviously be SPOILERSSSS!!11!! This is an unfortunate consequence of trying to help people whoops.

(I hope this isn't against the rules whoops)

To be honest, my level is probably going to be somewhat difficult due to how I set it up. I did make sure it was fair, though. Last thing I want is to make it a huge slogfest.
