If you had to give your level a non-spoilery* tagline that hints at what awaits, what would sit the most butts in front of a controller?

In a world where the luck has run out, one woman searches for what is lost. Where all have failed, she will succeed. In the dying ruins she searches for an answer. Not for the terror that awaits, but for herself.

Your imagination is the thing that will limit you.

Oh, and by the way, it seems that the levels are being judged in "random" order, because I submitted my level like 3-5 hours before deadline, and my name appears in the "received and processed" list.

Ewww! the Dark Pokey Are All Covered in Sorrow!!!!
I do not know why I like this rejected name so much. I imagine like a late-game paper mario themed level. Dark graphics and background, sad endgamey music... Something like that.

After hundreds of tries, one [redacted] finally snaps.

There's so many level names in here that could have become amazing levels that I'm super curious now about the list of names that did get picked... hell I was going to write up a list of favourites and then it was getting too long.

Not to be funny, but if contestants were advised not to make Touhou levels, why are there so many Touhou names?

I think the warning is more "don't make a danmaku level", rather than one using Touhou themes. I mean, you could easily make a level based on Super Marisa World, but I think we're trying to avoid the monstrosity that was Koopa Devil Mansion/A Waltz in Scarlet Devil Mansion in the last MAGLX.

Wow. That was really quick!

I imagine the other judges will struggle to keep up.

Man, it's a good thing there's no Maggle X3 next year, you're going to NEED the year off after this. Good luck!

Congratulations! Out of interest, are you going through them in the order you received them?
FFR wrote:...my name is in the "received and processed" list >_< I'm really anxious now
Now's not the time to be anxious. You'd die from stress before the results came out. Besides which, I'm sure you did fine. Unlike in SMW, there's not that much to learn, so if you played things safe, the worst you could ever do is "average".

That's what I'm hoping I'll get. If I get better than average, then that's even better, but I'll be happy with average.

No, that's the inevitable collection of rejected and unfinished levels from A2XT and ASMBXT.

Y'know... one of the things I'm most curious about with the result of MaGL X2... is to see just how people did Peach and Link levels. After all, pretty sure we don't get nearly so many of those in most SMBX content.

Check the received levels thread for a count of characters. It's approximately "Mario is used twice as much as any other single character"... which means that every other character has a lot of representation. It's going to be great, and furthermore I'm holding out that many people designed fantastic Link levels.

It's nice, that every character got a lot of levels made for them.

Hopefully the Demo counter works with the hub being split into two episodes.

Uhhh correction this is what I get for not even caring to look. I based my comment purely on Peach and Mario being the first two names on the list. She is the only character who really "suffers" that; everyone else (including Link!) has more than half of Mario's levels. That's actually super exciting. There's gonna be so much Link!

Well, if lots of people watched raocow's LP of A2XT, I'm presuming there'll be a lot of MAKL-clones for Peach characters. Heck, I've even made a sequel to that A2XT level (albeit not for this contest).

Strangely enough, almost all of the levels I tested were Peach or Link levels. I only saw one level each for the other three characters.

Argh suddenly got a great idea for a level using a different one of my level names, now I'm regretting not making it even though I was happy with the level I did submit.

Guess I'll be keeping an eye on that rejected MAGL names thread and see if something comes of it

To be fair, if I had gotten a level name that was fall-themed, I would have done my darndest to make "A God that Loves People ~ Romantic Fall" fit into the level.
