I'm trying to go somewhere with this but I'm having trouble getting there.

And I even told you to play MariAri instead. ;) I swear the final level is far from cruel when it comes to skill and timing etc. You need to think about every single step and probably screw up a lot like I did but once you solved a riddle it's so easy to recreate it can get very very boring if you die too often.
I mean what do you expect if that ghost girl and that Alice-Copycat work together?

And I'm afraid of that laughter above. ^^ I have to catch up with your latest videos quickly now.

edit: Wait, you're referring to MariAri as a "never play PERIOD" rom, right? I didn't think that counted as a rom since it's a stand-alone game, thus I messed up above. Well, the boss battle took me quite a lot of hours but I didn't find anything to get really angry about. I "only" despaired here and there. So I can only imagine that you tried 8-2 again. ^^ Oh well, I'm looking forward to tomorrow then. ^^

Holy crap raocow, you did it! You found the secret hidden instant victory button! Very few people know there's a secret code in MariAri that involves you deleting the entire folder, and the result is that you get to move on to games that don't kick you in the balls and expect you to ask for more!

The main Touhou games are hard. But they are fun hard. Even when I screw up and die stupidly, I'm still having fun. MariAri looks like Touhou-difficulty without Touhou-fun. In all seriousness, I understand and respect your decision, raocow.

As you deleted it now I think it's ok to spoil a bit: ^^
1) I think you found this out by now but you can prevent the mushroom from getting crushed by removing certain blocks.

2) At the very end you can activate the timed blocks before you and medecine fall down. Look frequently at where Marissa is (after you heard her destroy 7 blocks) and position Alice a few blocks more to the left so she will walk right onto the block you wish her to fall down from while you are busy clicking on the timed block.

The reason why I opened my help thread here (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=162) was because I thought I had to kill medecine by throwing her off where the final red switch is and then I thought that there must be a way to turn the yellow switch on before falling down so I can get the red key on the right by falling on it and the second one by walking into it and it took me soooo many hours figuring out that I was wrong. At least the game helped me finding that mistake by making it impossible for me to throw off medecine and getting back up in time.

Also you didn't see a really nice Mario Brothers 1 Bowser fight reference by skipping the last few meters. If by any chance you change your mind I can give you my (english-patched) savestate.
