raocow.COM TURNS 3!!! ... And then proceeds to blackout! :/

Hello Internets!!

Firstly a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY raocow.COM ... The site turned 3 on June 6th, hard to believe it's been such a long time but man what a great time it's been.

Secondly, a thank you for your patience over all the kerfuffle yesterday/today. We might have lost a few posts in the minutes leading up to blackout #2, but overall from what I can see it looks like we have everything. To give you an idea what happened...

- Yesterday the datacentre that houses talkhaus + everything raocow went down.. you guys have probably seen the site down for a couple of hours before; all of this has been a result of the datacentre crapping out

- After it was down for an usually long period of time (and numerous emails from the masses!) I called up our service provider to find out what was going on. Turns out their datacentre basically MELTED with no time on resolving the issue. (Call that Blackout #1)

- I requested the site the VPS be moved to a faster/more reliable data centre; while that happened the 'old' server finally came back online, so it looks like things were back to normal. I pulled the plug on the old server asap (Call that Blackout #2)

- It took them FOREVER to do it (considering the bastards locked me out of the server for the first couple of hours AND they only had had a copy of the server from like 3 days ago so they had to make a fresh one) - but this morning I finally had access back in.

- GoDaddy is BS to the extreme and took forever to propagate the DNS, AND I had some issues with the webservice (Linux is the devil and I flubbed ONE stupid parameter that was causing the web service to fail on start), so we lost a little time there.. but we are finally back online DANGIT

Once again - a big ole THANKS for your patience while we sorted all this out. And a DOUBLE big ole thanks for being part of the talkhaus, watching rao's vids and just being an overall cool dude or dudette.

I will now relinquish myself back to the shadows of talkhaus, and let you kids have fun.

Technically it's not actually hosted with GoDaddy persay - I only bought the domain through them and then propagate the DNS to the IP of the actual hosting site.
