Things to keep in mind for next time

Regarding Mosts creation and voting

Make a cap on how many topics each user can make. 2015 experienced too great of a flood in topic count, which was potentially detrimental to the voting curve. People became easily tired from having to check dozens of new topics every day.

Keep a balance between reasonable and unreasonable mosts. 2015 experienced both extremes of this: there was a point where there were too many bad mosts were in the forum, and there was a point where people complained that the mosts were taken too seriously. Encourage "good" mosts by placing the suggestion to create the same ones from the year 2012. Discourage "bad" mosts by moving them to forum games. Point out what specific bad patterns in most creation exist.

Setting extra requirements to vote was rather annoying. In 2015, there was an extra requirement to quote Jayoshi, which would allow votes to appear in his notifications. Some people didn't see the need for voting by making a quote, (and sometimes people who were willing to cooperate made typos on accident) so see if another system such as an RSS feed may work.

Regarding userbar creation

If a tie occurs, make two separate userbars with minimal differences. We discussed for 2015 mosts about how ties should be dealt with, and the majority decided that all winners should receive separate userbars, and that there should not be any ranking system between them, not even an aesthetic one.

Use scripting or automated userbar creation of some sort which doesn't occur on a website. Userbars for 2015 were created in Paint.net, and unfortunately the userbars took days to create, and because they were manually done they had to be quality-checked for errors. This process was extremely inefficient, and script creation should be used instead to provide ease. Websites are useful, but they fall short in stylization, and can have bad image quality.

Set the opacity level for the background lines lower. The 2015 mosts had an opacity level at 100, which was rather high and distracted people. Somewhere around 50-70 might be better.

Regarding communication & feedback

Make a preparatory thread for most creation. There was not enough of a talk about how the mosts should go before they started. We'll hopefully be able to establish the mosts a little better before we get the show on the road next year if we talk about it first.

Make a separate thread for Mosts rules and mosts discussion. The forum rules were a bit hard to notice at first, because there was a singular topic which took the place of both, and was not correctly named for addressing rules.

Make the rules topic as clear and concise as possible; emphasize more important or less noticeable ones. Some rules were not noticed quite as easily.

If there is anything you wish to add, PM me about it and I'll consider adding it to the list.
