One of your threads ended up getting locked even though you're the one running the mosts this year, lol.

Yeah, exactly. I'm no different than anybody else here. I did secretly hope it would be relevant enough because of this thread, (and I wasn't exactly sure how much stuff like it we'd get) but eh... it wasn't worth it. :P

It took someone else mentioning you made it for me to even realize you made the thread, lol.

Perhaps we could have a userbar for "Most Games Beaten" or "Most Prolific Gamer" or something based on whoever has reported beating the most games on the Games Beaten in 2015 thread? I don't remember doing anything with those threads before...

Seems like a fine idea. I might make something like this, if there's not too many bars already.

Should the vote count be lower or higher?

Post by Zha Hong Lang »

Alright, so doing a count using amount of replies as a factor, there are about 70 threads so far which have potential to become a most. I'm still looking at them through the MCP to see if they all have 8 qualifying votes, (not quoting me isn't a factor to disqualify them, though) but I'm just wondering about it.

Would you want this many mosts again? 70 was what we had last year, and I've heard from someone before that it was a bit too much, perhaps. Personally, I'll make as many mosts as will qualify, but I'm wondering if you guys would want that many in the first place. I'm also not sure how exactly I would cut back on the mosts if I actually need to cut back on them. What do you think?

Considering voting has slowed down for a lot of these, I think you're good. It's a lot, but whatever. Maybe we'll all figure out how to condense these next year.

I think you're fine currently too.

And maybe next year whoever ends up taking charge of the mosts should get started a little earlier with the planning? That'd probably help avoiding having to change things in the middle of everything like happened this year.

I'm likely going to set precedents like those in 2013 so that the problems wouldn't happen again. But, unlike the ones in 2013 which just said "do this" or "don't do this" I'm actually going to give reasons why or why not to do something.

But yeah, we still should have an actual preparatory discussion next year. This year it had just been along the lines of "GADDANGIT NO MOSTS F" and "Jayoshi for most X of the mosts." (and "Z for most Y", but who cares really)

And hopefully, if I became the host again for next year, I'd actually be versed enough in web-based scripting to make a most bot like in 2014. :P

Alright, the mosts are coming to an end in 24 hours from now! By 12:00 P.M. (Noon) Central Standard Time, I will start making official counts of the mosts, and locking topics appropriately. If you have any concerns, mosts, or final votes to make, make them now while there's still time!

Warning for Most Trustworthy thread: "Definitely not Horikawa" is not going to count as a vote. Once you change your vote to an actual person I'll count it.

Alright, due to super-late delays because of insanity, I haven't been able to start counting votes.

But now I am! Topics which meet most-making standards will be locked, and final counts will be posted. Happy New Year, everyone!

Opinion time: I don't think it's right for ties to get untied the way you're planning to do it and they should just all be in separate banners and look the same.
