Super Mario Bros Doomsday is a Mario fangame created with the Supernova Mario Engine 3 and Game Maker. It is a Super Mario World styled game that plays very much like it and features content that you normally wouldn't see in a Super Mario World ROM hack. It is the third and final installment in the Super Mario Bros 2010 fangaming series. After two years since the last demo, Super Mario Bros Doomsday is officially complete!

ABOUT:
It is the year 2012 for the Mushroom Kingdom and the end of the world is upon the citizens who inhabit the Mushroom World. When Bowser hears of an ancient key that can grant him world domination, he plans to find it and use it to take over the world. However, Mario is one step ahead of him and knows the key's location.
Bowser, knowing that Mario will find the key before him, joins forces with other villians. It is up to you to find the key before Bowser and save the world.

Bug report: In world 1 castle you can enter the boss door while the smasher is coming down and get down to 0 lives, don't know what happens when you beat the boss in that state though (I died and got a regular game over)

Also Mario doesn't react to held inputs right after closing a message.

Other than that it seems like effort was put into this and doesn't seem terrible like a lot of fangames

Thanks for reporting these. I'll see what I can do about them. I'll probably end up just doing a quick update to the game rather soon.

Sorry for the bump, but I just wanted to post a quick update. Just released version 1.1 for Super Mario Bros Doomsday. A few things were updated such as:
- Fixed Dry Parachute Goombas
- Fixed a minor glitch with Luigi in Level 5-5
- Fixed Level 7-1's 2nd checkpoint spawn
- Fixed Boss Battle with K. Rool
- Fixed Chargin Chucks from getting stuck in platforms
- Fixed Boom Boom's hitbox detection

Ok, so since raocow will be lets playing this game fairly soon (after Wario Land 2), I'm posting a new download link to the game for anybody who wants to "get a head start" before raocow plays it. The latest version is v.1.7 which raocow will be playing.
