Ohhhh that makes sense now! When SNN created it years ago he said it was level music but everyone else thought it would work better as OW music. I have no idea how to work with samples and stuff like that, music was never my forte. I notified Wyatt though about what the issue could be :)

Changing music between main ow and beach ow.
That was MY idea.

I love that you did that XD That's how it was supposed to be to, it's just I thought it would have required extra ASM so I tried to scrap the idea of using the beach theme transitioning to and from the main overworld. :) Great Job!

Maybe I can help with the cave overworld theme not working correctly.

I found this in an old tutorial thread for Addmusic v4.05 on SMWC:
You may need to change (or in some cases add) this line of coding depending on whether you want the music in a level or an overworld map.

If you want the music in a level, paste at the top of the .txt

I'm pretty sure it does because we needed the correct header for the cave theme or else all the music mucks up. Could you put a header on it? XD :)

Okay, hopefully it's not missing any code XD If the cave theme doesn't work maybe we can get this one working and find someone else willing to re-port the Mountain OW theme.

Checklist:
-Re-port Mountain OW theme
-Try reinserting Cave OW theme with changed header from Ryrir
-Fix 3 songs with weird pitches which are tracks: 27, 94, and 92

On your post from a couple pages back you said that most songs will work with a pitch of 04 or less right? These songs sound nice in game but the death and goal music pitch's weird when using one of these tracks.

This is supposed to be able to convert SPCs into MML, However:

- It outputs to the amk2 format. Not sure how much needs to be changed to get it to work in AM4.
- It's been coded to not work with stuff made in Addmusic, meaning I can't convert it.

Here's the GitHub. Someone might be able to build a copy that removed the restriction.

My question is, is it even worth modifying the SPC to MML program or would it be better to re-port it from scratch?

That was echo, pitch is totally different. No idea how to fix the pitch stuff in a hex editor, you'd have to remove the global detune and then manually detune each instrument, which would be editing/adding like 10 commands. Might not be worth it just to fix silly sounding death/win themes

the echo is what makes the game break on snes9x though, so it would be still worth it to edit those values

While that may be true, Its not worth manually changing each instrument in the music, this game needs to work with ZSNES first and foremost priority, and I'll change which tracks 2 of those level's use once the overworld music is all done and over with. :)

I agree with Ryrir, he's saying to change the echo which is easy (just change a single byte for each offending song). I'm saying not to change the pitch 'cause that's hard and not as important.

Are we sure there are songs with broken echo and songs with broken pitch?

Oh my bad. No I'm pretty sure it's just the echo i just mixed the words up, sorry wyatt :oops: All I'm saying is that whenever a stage has 1 of those 3 songs the death and goal songs get messed up. XD :)

Actually, that tool is very limited. Because it can't convert romhack's spc. I tried before. But it is very complicated to do. Making a loop is needed. And music will cut off.
