I have friends who've talked about making F-Zero maps for TF2, and I had a lot of ideas in mind to program Crash Team Racing style powerups.

Basically, Kart Racing is being developed for TF2.

I'm programming the actual game logic for it and am working with a few people who'll make maps for it.

We're only very early in development, but I thought I'd share it.

Now I dunno if anyone here knows much 3D modeling or map making, for Hammer/source games, but incase anyone here does... I know I'd definitely love to see some sort of Demo-universe race track. With a floating muncher.

The role of the plugin will be to give mappers some flexibility and a standard for doing things, as well as neat features like a bunch of custom powerups with homing rockets and whatnot. And of course tracking winners/losers.

Seems interesting. I've always loved making mario kart tracks on paper so this would be cool. Though I'm busy, I can just do some races for fun if you want. My steam username+avatar are the same as here.
