welp, time for me to learn Lunar Magic!
Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Rules/Submissions
No gimmicks? Did I accidently wander into the Talkhaus' evil twin? The Halktaus?
Freedom is interesting though.

Time for me to remember how to do moon magic.
I regularly stream on Twitch! with other members of the talkhaus. Come watch Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 2PM for blind playthroughs and Pokémon and Touhou and stuff. Come hang out with us!

Re: Make A Good Level Contest (SMW) 3 - Discussion
Well then. Lack of any gimmicks is actually interesting. I'm worried about the copy pasta of other people spitting their levels into this. One month is a good amount of time to prepare. Well then, without any limits, this'll be a true show of ethics. I was hoping for a gimmick that was mildly harsh so there would be less half-arsed entries but this should result in a far more varied set of levels. Neat!
I presume this is one that won't be incorporated into a combination hack like in SMWC?

Nope. Otherwise, submissions would require more than IPS patch. Considering that contestants could have as well used stuff like LevalASM, and so on.LunarNeedle wrote:I presume this is one that won't be incorporated into a combination hack like in SMWC?

Oh man finally time to dig the ASM guns out of my bag-o'-tricks again. It's been a long time coming. :D

5 points are based on the music, and since most people find vanilla music to be uninteresting, you should probably download amk like I did two weeks ago.raekuul wrote:oh boy i can submit a vanilla level and not get penalized for it
In the past, my contest levels have been slaughtered due to excessive difficulty. Still learning...

Oh so um like
Is there a recommended/suggested/required emulator for this? `~` My SNES emulators are all wonderfully out of date. I'm talking ZSNES 1.36 netplay patch out of date ;D I would like to participate with whatever the judges and cowman are using.

Use snes9x, it's way way better than zsnes in like every way.

yeah, use higan, retroarch, or snes9x, unless you're editing the titlescreen motion (or is that possible now without zsnes?)

Oh boy, I might actually submit a level this time around!
I kinda already made on, but I feel like I rushed it too much so I'm gonna spend a lot of time tweaking and adding to it
