Weeks go by rather quickly. Progress should pick up from now, now that magl3's submission period is over.
Here's another postgame level by the name of "Horse Abuse".

Wow that is really pretty looking. Who made that map? It's so soft and easy on the eyes.

Thanks! I took obvious inspiration from the TTYD map and even stole some of its colours.

We've got another postgame level this week! This one's called "Night Terrors."

As you can see, this one makes heavy use of features new to SMBX 2.0 - some of it even took me by surprise. Haven't had time to give it a full run yet, but it promises to be an interesting experience.

Here's another screen of our hub. Instead of using regular textboxes to display information, this episode uses textblox. Judge comments have never been this cute~

Oh wow. This is looking really neat. I'm just kind of sad that you've created a "Horse Abuse" level. I've done exactly the same thing for A2XT Episode 3, although I'm betting mine is nowhere near as tough.

LAST TEASER
It's been a while since we started doing this, and I'm happy to announce that production is finally nearing its end! We're currently wrapping up the last things that need to be done and after some testing we'll be able to release the game!
Our current plan is to release before the end of the month, so stay tuned!
Without further ado, here's the last teaser. It shows a menu which displays your deaths for each level, sorted by tier.

We hope you look forward to playing all of these hellish creations and thanks everyone for participating.

After all these teasers displaying the effort being put into the contest I feel the need to apologize for my own level.

After the result came in I identified with the judge comments and Zyglrox in particular. I was proud of the concept, but due to time constraints I wasn't able to playtest as much as I wanted and had to settle for things I was capable of completing within a reasonable time frame. From the start I had planned on less mechanically focused difficulty and a more puzzle like approach, but I distinctly remember making the optional 4th starcoin easier after I had collected it because it felt unfair which was the wrong mindset to have. Also with keeping the original split paths some setups ended up being rushed and clearly easier, thus making the eventually taken path less difficult.
Regardless I still felt reasonably happy with the resulting difficulty in general.

However the received criticism made me worried enough that after finally going back and checking I found out my level is broken. There is an error in the second half that makes it possible to skip the IMO most interesting part. With an unaccounted for extra hit the designed flow falls apart unfortunately. I feel really bad about wasting the potential of the amazing source level and the concept in this way.
At this point I can only apologize and suggest potential players of my level to consider attempting to get to the ending star big as a slight fix. Even then it's still not as intended but at least somewhat closer.

Thank you all for taking the time running and joining the contest as I'm sure the finished production will be great. I look forward to playing the other levels especially with the extra options.

Hey so uh we kinda missed our November release target a bit. Sorry about that, one of our prospective postgame participants' lives has been hella busy the past couple weeks apparently, but I'm given to understand they've actually got time to work on their thing now so we hope to receive it soon.
We've not just been sitting around twiddling our thumbs in the meantime, though - just this past Saturday we had an extended testing session of one of the other levels.

Thanks again to Enjl and Pyro for helping make this crazy thing happen, and to all 16 of you peeps who entered, and our not-so-super-secret mystery postgame contributors. This couldn't have turned out quite the way it did without you guys. :3

Have fun~

Considering the contest is up, and the year has shifted, I wonder who will host MaGKLXIV? Same for planning.
