please don't get upset at me for something i literally did not have control over (it was your job as a host to do this part correctly and i did not partake in any of the metadata by choice) and didn't even use it to cheat anyways except for the one time i literally was only naming to game to say it showed me the game's soundtrack album cover so you can just not count that one because i don't actually care

also saying "you barely play any indie games" when i go out of my way to get informed about japanese indie and doujin stuff is incredibly insulting to me, and some of your tone here is incredibly passive agressive. the fact you're trying to "dont get upset at me for something i had no control over" then go straight to blaming me for doing a bad job is salt on the wound.

passive aggressivness was not intended, i never do very good in these anyways so i'm not fussed about doing particularly poorly in this one and the point was more that our tastes in games generally don't align (i will admit to making some assumptions based on what i've seen you talking about in the what are you playing thread but) which wasn't rlly intended as a criticism of anyone

also i'm looking into the files deeper and i'm genuinely not sure what kind of ancient dark magic windows media player is doing to pull metadata for some of these actually?? the media player i usually use for metadata editing isn't even picking anything up so ??? it's just confusing. there was a reason i PMed that detail and didn't post it publically tho. so. eh

fine i apologize for my crass behavior then, wholeheartedly. just please be more careful with your wording, granted i have like actual fear of people so im kind of a schizoid (not excusing my behavior i swear). anyway my taste in games is weird, i just really fuck with rpgs and thing offbeat shit is cool which is why i want to play more of artdink's ps1 nonsense

idk if this counts as a "global hint" but one of the songs here is from a jp only game i've been playing and i only put it here bc

2. the song is good

yeah uh making these segments with zero metadata is a bit more involved than just stripping the tags in windows properties. mp3 allows for embedded jpeg images in the file and windows doesn't include those properly in the details. for future reference you'll want to run them through ffmpeg

I tend to open these in foobar2000 when I'm working on them and none of the metadata fields are populated, no custom fields are showing up as present, and no album artwork is embedded, I have zero idea where this metadata would have come from.
