I'd like to claim level 10A and sublevel 19A. Also exgfx slot 82.

What am I trying to do with this? I'd like to make a castle level with Morton Jr as the boss and I'd like to do something dumb/weird/silly/maybe funny/etc with it if that is alright. Thanks!

Also, don't we have enough steam here to get a subforum for this project? Maybe? I dunno. Maybe not.

It's official.. we are using addmusicK

Base rom is technically done but will be out before 7pm EST.

JUMP Base ROM v0.32!! has been released and then updated.

Please inform me if I'm missing anything or put too much!

Update: I was informed that for some reason the secondary edit in my level lead to Iso's and that some levels had events after beaten. I also made it so that all levels are cleared so you guys can easily start+select if needed.

damnit I've been making guesses to myself all week and I'm still stumped

if I do well in the MaGL and have time and confidence, I'll contribute to this mad thing! but not until I have a better idea of what to do.

Edit: also, to come back on my comment about the Map16 thing: Can I claim Page 6, the first two rows of tiles?

Edit 2: I noticed the new (I think) clause about custom palletes not being allowed until world 4+. So yeah, that's where my level'll end up being then :P

Also was it necessary to include everything with spritetool in the baserom? You should only keep the sprite that are actually used, you can remove the default spritetool custom sprites if they not used.

Was my idea to do that but alex2 said I shouldn't cut corners and keep it like the A2MT base rom. I will probably take them out in the next update haha

Let's talk music:

First of all with the songs that are currently present, only Hi No Tori and the SMW Cave remix (High Icy Cave) will really go into stock (if desired). I like Ice Age for possibly just Frozelar's level, Kashuon is for my world 9 level, and Vanguard is Bowser's Castle. You are allowed to pick something for use on just your level but I don't want too many. If it is your own composition then by all means. I would like all submaps and overworlds to have custom music with the exception of World 1 Yoshi's Island. I will most likely not change the themes for star, p-switch or any other sound effect because of how needlessly convoluted it is in addmusicK and I don't want to limit people from using those ingredient.

Also SaGa II - Boss has basically been claimed by MarkyJoe1990 but neither of us mind if it is stock.

Wow good job aterraformer!

If anyone isn't sure which music to pick, I'd suggest pretty much anything by ThinkOneMoreTime, or Mystery Deeps. EDIT: Also the Cirno theme from MegaMari is catchy as crabs. But I'm sure the other stuff is really good, I mean I haven't listened to everything listed.

Man I have so many level ideas right now it is just not funny so don't laugh k

You missed something for underwater music: Beyond the Deep Blue Sea from Final Fantasy V. How could you overlook that one? That's practically the best underwater music in the history of video game underwater music.
Because Touhou OCs can in fact exist, sounds fake I know.

I can't change my username but I go by Vali/Claire now (aka call me Vali or Claire at your leisure ^^).

I never update this currently playing section anymore, it's probably an RPG or something.

Levels 8 and 80 are using secondary entrances they aren't entitled to. In general, every secondary entrance that the level isn't using should be repointed (to level 0, say) before the level is submitted/saved to the base rom or else stuff will just get overwritten.

Think I'm going to go ahead and claim level 132 for an early game level. I'm not very used to SMW, but I think I'll manage something decent when it's fairly vanilla.

Edit: Is it possible that one of the patches of the base rom screwed some stuff up? I'm trying to use the checkerboard falling platform, sprite 5C, yet it just automatically falls. Buoyancy isn't enabled, so it isn't that it's the water-floating kind. I even checked if something weird is going on there, and it just falls through the water.

You should make the time at the start even lower, like 20 seconds or less.

Edit: Oh You really reserved me 12C to 12F? This was just a joke, but ok, I'm fine with that.
So that means I will do at least 4 more levels. Here are my ideas:
12C Will be the key level and I will submit it after some fixing.
12D Will probably be the grey cement block level, except if I made a better level and replace it.
12E Will be a world 1 level. Not the fish level, but almost. I will do a new level while keeping that idea of having fishes in a non-water level.
12F Will be a castle level because I want to make one. Probably a world 4~6 castle(?).

Yeah, make some tricky parts. This section, for example, seemed a little boring. Although I understand the level wasn't done and you'll probably add more in the future but details.

I'd love to see a level like this, though.

I opened the base rom v0.32 with lunar magic and I've just noticed FastROM patch isn't enabled yet. The patch would reduce slowdown a bit, especially in the disco-light cave(Level 1CC).
So, why not?
