That's right, A 2nd X Thing Episode 2: Digital Groove is finally released, alongside raocow's LP of it (which you can also go and watch here)

So I want to give a quick overview of this game because it's been almost 10 years since folks started work on this. A direct sequel to A2XT Episode 1: Analog Funk, the game picks up right where things left off: with the end of the universe and everything inside. Only Sheath managed to survive, and the fate of the everything rests on the shoulders of a chronically distracted teenager whose main ability is simply being there too. Can she save the everything? Play the game (or watch the LP) to find out!

We tried to keep things as accessible as possible, so while the events of the previous game are important, you don't have to have played other entries in the series to enjoy this one (though it certainly can't hurt)!

It's been a long road. A very, very, very long road. But we're finally here, performing for you! I hope you all enjoy the game to the fullest!

This suggests you're trying to run the game using beta 4. You must use SMBX2 Beta 5, or the game will not work.

But for the record, bug reports or issues are absolutely find to post here, or sent to me or Rixi on Discord. We will be issuing some number of patches to the game, so it's useful to locate issues.

So, I'm not sure what's causing this. It shouldn't cause a problem: hitting okay will just mean you get no music for that level, but I wonder if it's to do with filepath lengths. I've trimmed the music filepath length for the next update and hopefully that'll fix it.

Thunder Peak.ogg" is 147 characters (which is below 255 length limit), so I doubt that's the issue. I suspect that whatever program was used to unpack the ZIP directory did something weird with a dot in "Mt. Thunder".

That's also possible. Regardless the next patch will include renaming that file to something shorter and without a dot.

error pops up when i enter the serac fight level. when i click through to play the level, the boss doesn't work. its just a long fall with serac, who is a stationary uninteractable npc sprite. i'm on the latest version.

So this happened right after I beat Pandemona on the third world boss stage. Clicking OK the cutscene still triggered and everything went on like normal so definitely not a game breaking problem but I Still felt like I should report it, hopefully this is the right place for this. Oh and yes I'm using the latest version of the game with the 1.2 hotfix

oh my gods that was an oversight and a half. It should be fixed in the next version but yeah that's bad. HOPEFULLY I'll be able to get raocow that update before he reaches there.
