No need for Lua even. You see the music.ini/sound.ini files in devkits with a recent (i.e. since early January) LunaDLL? Versions of those files can be made per-episode, allowing you to have a different set of default music and sound resources in each episode. Problem solved.

It's as easy as just put new music.ini and sound.ini files in the episode's folder, and it should work.

.ini files are great. I already have this done.
we should uh, go ahead and update the devkit with this.
Im played through Epsode 1 with all the luna updates available(with lua 6.0.3) and everything is the same with no issues.
and now we can replace the base music/sounds we need to while not affecting anything in Episode 1

I managed to negotiate a sorta deal with him for MaGL X2 (for people using his music who submitted a level before he informed me of his request), but henceforth we need to be quite careful.
*sigh* Drama. Ahh well.

Anyway. Looking on the bright side of things: This is still a heck of a lot less work to be put into resource creation than episode 1 had.

It would be nice, if we could start accepting levels to the final game. Currently we need to name some people to go through them.

Submissions should be open once the Base Game music issues are resolved, and I get the OK from the LunaLUA guys that no future updates will break stuff in the future (so if we update LunaLUA for Episode 3, it won't break anything in Episode 2).

I think, we already have it: the base game with including of latest LunaLUA with compatible musics and sounds can be gotten here: http://engine.wohlnet.ru/LunaLua/
(you need to check the "Include complete standalone base game")
I made a PHP code which automatically collecting everything into united ZIP file, so, problem is solved. (second problem - official/backup mirror. My server works fast, but for people of American continents the connection with my server may be slow (because too far [1~5 Mbps in America vs 60 Mbps in Europe]). I can provide it on my -Google Drive, but I think, here is someone who can provide official base game mirror).

P.S. What about musics of episode 1, they are can easily resampled by alone BAT file with SoX converter (I will make it and if you wish to work with Episode 1 on LunaLUA with no music issues, you will need to execute than BAT file and wait while all wrong musics will be fixed).
EIDT: I made it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3QNP ... authuser=0

P.P.S. We never remove deprecated hard-coded LUA functions to keep compatibility with old episodes

Does the level HAVE to be designed using a dev kit or the other editor? For instance, I'm making a level in plain old SMBX....with a twist. I've copied over all the sounds and music and graphics from the dev kit. Could that work? Here's a screen of it:

The released game will be using a modded client with LunaDLL, but this doesn't actually make a difference to the default game, so unless you're having problems running the devkit, this wouldn't make any difference.

I think some of you don't look at the forum except a2xt because if you did you would know or could guess why he's doing this.

I didn't know shemp very well and I think only a couple of people did. I did talk to him on skypehaus when he was still a member of it and I have read all his posts here and on 8ch so I can make a good guess. Maybe there was personal stuff too that he didn't say because he was a private guy but there was a lot he said publicly too.

Here is everything that happened in order and it's quite long but I've put links in for proof.
1. Around the end of last year shemp started acting weirdly and getting angry at people for less reason than before. He didn't seem in a good state of mind at all.
2. He said he would leave the forum forever. This is when he took away his a2xt levels and deleted his youtube channel.
3. He came back after a couple of weeks to say he would help finish azct then leave. He said he left because most of the forum wanted him to go and were out to get him. Link
4. Quite a few people said he was wrong and he should stay.
5. He got involved in the big drama about the pronoun field and attacked wolfolotl for attacking others and said xe was looking to be offended. Wolfolotl was offended. Link
6. More of 5 but in different places and it's worth mentioning that lots of people were on both sides but more on shemp's side but rena and kobabeach were on wolfolotl's side.
7. shemp makes a list of the people he said were out to get him which includes rena jesuiscontent and kobabeach. Link
8. jesuiscontent and kobabeach decide the best way to deal with someone acting vulnerable and unstable is to laugh at them Link
9. shemp attacks jesuiscontent and calls him biased towards irc members for warning him while doing nothing about wolfolotl calling people scum Link
10. kobabeach laughs at him again and calls him human trash. Link
11. anomaly and sonicspin tell kobabeach that he's taking things too far. Link & Link
12. A couple of minutes after 11 rena permabans shemp and locks the thread and kobabeach doesn't even get warned which kind of proves shemp right.
13. jesuiscontent unlocks the thread to laugh at shemp again then relocks the thread. Link
14. darkychao publicly agrees with shemp and gets permabanned Linkclam kind of agrees and gets permabanned Link sonicspin laughs at shemp even though he's gone Link
15. raocow pms rena and darkychao and clam get unbanned and rena claims it was an accident but how do you accidentally permaban someone? Don't have a link for this one since it's buried in the twitter thread
16. Starting after this post the people that were laughing at shemp before along with a couple of others started attacking shemp for pages and pages along with anyone defending him even though he was like I said before already permabanned which included people changing the story to say he was banned because of transphobia without ever giving a single post where he was transphobic
17. Then they changed the story again to say it was because he was always rude and shitposting and jesuiscontent implied that he never did anything good ever Link
18. shemp made a couple of alt accounts and got busted for it well at least one anyway since they never gave out proof for the 2nd one
19. He pulled down his azct stuff and posted this on 8ch wich I will repost here in case you don't want to visit 8ch: http://8ch.net/tkhs/res/48.html#q66
shemp wrote:To add on this, there is zero point to contributing to any talkhaus collab unless you're just making a vanity project. You will not get any recognition outside the talkhaus because no-one outside the talkhaus will play it. Guess what? A collab full of people's in-joke-stuffed vanity projects doesn't appeal to anyone.

You will not get any positive reception inside the talkhaus. The group that runs the talkhaus hates collabs because they interfere in their circlejerk of giving end-of-year awards to each other. There is no room for collab contributers to be positively recognized because all the positive recognition goes to the users who can amass the most virtual friends on IRC as a pathetic substitute for having no real friends.

Although, I suppose, the upside to virtual friends is you don't have to see them anymore after you ban them for having a different opinion to you.

If anything, you will get a negative reception. You will be forever tarnished as a talkhauser who contributed to embarrassing games. If you make any attempt to make the games better by critiquing other users' work, you will be negatively recognized as a troublemaker and a hateful person.

The only thing contributing to talkhaus projects will do is waste hours and hours of your time and, in the long run, make you hate yourself.
That isn't the post of a guy in a good state of mind at all. He has gone from someone who liked the talkhaus enough to make loads and loads and loads of stuff for it as well as beta test three different games and pay for that rog guy with his own money to someone who hates the talkhaus and everyone in it and regrets ever joining. I have to say that I blame wolfolotl jesuiscontent and kobabeach just as much as I blame shemp. When someone is on a roof talking about jumping you don't laugh at them and dare them to jump and I don't remember anyone getting still attacked after they got banned for so long and so continuously as shemp not even aposke who actually was legit transphobic. I think if he is threatening the talkhaus then he definitely means it which is a pity as I liked the main menu music

Unless he really has killed himself. He did sound very depressed talking about hating himself and he did seem unstable.

Taking one person's account of an argument as canonical is silly and a great way to make yourself take a side. Since almost every argument is essentially an escalated communication error, taking a side is a great way to feel confident in being wrong.

Is spartacus this Mystery Poster fellow or was it another post that did get deleted? Because spartacus' account lines up with what I recall happening, apart from a few inferred details -- with #10, for example, I got the distinct impression Koba was referring to Aposke, Septentrion and Yogui when he said "human trash", not Shemp.

I really, really hope that's not the case. I don't remember much in particular of his earlier posts, but Shemp made a good first impression on me -- he was certainly condescending and had some unpopular opinions, but otherwise he seemed like a decent guy. It was disheartening to watch him unravel the way he did and the way the others handled the situation rubbed me the wrong way too... but not much good will come from digging back into that stuff at this point. The best we can do is learn from the whole ordeal and try to avoid letting things escalate like that in the future.

With all that said, if spartacus really is this mystery poster fellow and his account does differ that much from what Shemp told you, Horikawa, I'll take your word for it.

I also liked Shemp. I hope he's not pissed/bummed forever.

From the sound of it the talkhaus just wasn't his bag. And that's okay.

Hooray I'm back still wanting to make a level even though I haven't followed this at all and am probably too late to do anything (>n<)

Though I seriously want to try something for this, and I especially want to get my hands dirty in the thick of Lunadll and do some crazy things. Could probably do some R&D to try and figure out how to do things like multiple midays and such, though I'll wait until JUMP is finished.

Also sorry if some of these things already posted or whatever, again, I'm too busy to spend a few hours looking through the hundreds of posts here.
I'm not a YTPMV'er. My goal is towards learning music and eventually making my own content with what I like (in this case ponies). I'm still studying how music works and this is what I can do so far, so to all the ytpmv'ers out there: Please stop following my videos, cause I'm not interested in making chiptune music with your rules you set up on how to make YTPMV's. Also I'd appreciate if you guys would lay off bronies in the comment section, cause these are made for them and not for people who

Hi, I've been gone quite a few months (since about the beginning of october 2014, I think?) due to real life stuff. I have a few questions:
- Are we still using the same modified version of SMBX as we did for episode 1? Most importantly, are the old LunaDLL files still compatible?
- Any important announcement concerning level submission and whatnot?
- Is there anything else I should really be aware of?

Of course I'm going to read as much as I can to try to get up to date, but every bit of info helps, I suppose.

SMBX.exe same, but LunaDLL will is completely upgraded (now it's a LunaLUA [based on LunaDLL v8]). Episode 1 is fully compatible with LunaLUA (I played entire episode 1 on it!)
