Bizarre. It should work since it has platforms/qwindows.dll. It works on my end.

If you're able to, try installing QT5 and see if that fixes it.

edit: nm, I think I found the issue.

I'm installing Qt5 now, just in case. It's just taking a while.

Attempted to start it up and got the same error message as Hoeloe did:

Attempted to start it up and got the same error message as Hoeloe did:

Hopefully this'll get fixed.

That's the same as me, but I think the second error is just a Runtime error saying that the program couldn't run, and happens because of the first error, which is why I omitted it.

Still getting the same issue for some reason. From browsing around, it looks as though Qt usually expects an installer to be run first, which will create environment variables and things - perhaps that's the issue?

I am as well. Oddly the official release on the site does work though so I'm not sure what the difference would be.

Works for me now! How do I start a new level though? Everything's greyed out. I can open an existing level and edit that but not start a new one.

From my very short time with the current official release I don't think there is any way currently to start a new level for some odd reason. You may need to make one in SMBX and immediately save it then port that to this editor.

That was an annoying oversight on my end. I've never had Mediafire block a download due to AdBlock before so it didn't even cross my mind to even check that.

Program looks to work fine for me now too.

I somewhat talked with one of those dudes working on it name was Nexia and Nexia told me they even might be able implenting new npcs aswell into their Engine since it's totally different from smbx which is the good thing about it also.

You need the version 2 updates back - the latest ones are just the executable files, not the full program. Download that and then replace the exe.

Kind of a silly mistake on my part, but yeah, that was it, thanks.
Now that I'm actually trying to use it, the lack of built-in level testing messes with my "do exactly one thing, re-test entire level" process, but as far as I can tell literally everything else is like a hundred times better than SMBX's editor and if that's on the to-do list then I am officially hyped to an unhealthy degree for this thing.

Also Horikawa for whatever reason it apparently remembers your recently used files.
