I'm up for a different Mouser Graphic if someone wants to make it up.

As for

angrycow

, I like it much better than Professor Watson.

Said graphic is done. It's wider than normal so I had to use a npc.txt file, but since it's for a single level and I don't see any way it could break something I guess it shouldn't be a problem. This isn't really final unless everyone thinks it's fine (the walk cycle could use a bit more work, I guess.)

Yes, I managed to use Pumpernickle.

I was kinda hoping we could him in place of the current Mouser Replacement, otherwise I'd have to enlarge the Cast graphic, which is something I do not want to do. Is there any way that you could do that graphic without increasing the width?

The way I understood this (see Voltgloss's post in the previous page) he's supposed to replace

only the Mouser at the end of The Tower of Dr. Zalost, the last level of Zebraspace, as last-minute foreshadowing of the next episodes

. I just can't see him as a regular replacement.

I honestly didn't think about the credits. I don't know how they're set up, but I reiterate, I only changed the width and not the height. Also since he's some kind of "secret" he might be excluded, or possibly credited as something like ??? in a post-credits preview of some kind.

Aw no, don't change the detective raocow hammer suit, that's one of the best powerups in the game! :(

I love that thing.

Seconded on both fronts.

I always feel weird when an 'official' replacement is a sprite from another game. Like for a one level joke, sure, but...

Would it be possible to adapt the wizard giraffe from a2mt ? It would have to be a bit thicker but...

Make angrycow the one that throws fire. It fits thematically.

That graphic is too special for such a common powerup.

Yeah, what is the current Mouser replacement anyway?

it's a vortimom from the early commander keens.

Considering we originally had Super Demento as our SMB3 Bowser replacement, and it had to be nixed, it might be wise to nix vortimom as well.

EDIT: Might also be a good idea to replace the SMW Door graphic as well, since I think that's from NSMB.

EDIT2: OK, here's a quick list:

npc-273 (graphic is fine, but could use some more shading)
npc-266 (Sheath's Hammer things. We never replaced this)
npc-255 (could use some better shading. not sure if this is from something)
npc-203 (again, graphic is fine, but could use some shading)
npc-13 (never changed. maybe recolour them to match each character?)
npc-185 (someone suggested changing this)
npc-211 (Not sure if this one really fits with npc-210. I'll leave it up to you guys, but I'm fine with leaving it as-is)

Design-wise only though.

What sprites from AS/2MT haven't been used yet? Toaster Birdo (or is it?), Sledge Wall-E, and then?

Toaster Birdo is normal Birdo.

Yeah, We're kinda already using Toaster Birdo, but a different graphic.

Also, I forgot to mention the Bully should be reshaded, as well as effect-108 (which we didn't change).

npc-255 is

an extended version of the door from An Untitled Story with added key hole.

Edit: I can't find a clear image of Jerry the giraffe magikoopa.

So that red pepper(?), one of the ground vegetables is really hard to see as demo when facing right. Is that meant to happen?

What about non-clear images? If the sprites got lost there'd be at least some reference.

I made npc-143 a bit more rounder.

Replace the mouse with

Jowey, the poison cow.

I think it would fit better than any other sprite. Also he can still use the current

cat bombs

.

Edit: here is a resized version of that sprite that does not require npc codes.
