Quoting Original Post from ASMBXT Graphics thread:
Kashkabald wrote:Hi!

If you want to request or share graphical resources, this is the topic, I guess.

Anyway I'm making this mostly for two requests. First, anyone got a "storming castle" background? Been looking, can't find one, and I need it for my level. The other request is:

How do I make this tile properly?
Would anyone have suggestions on existing graphics suitable for a post-apocalyptic event? Background and Foreground, like broken buildings, animated fire.. stuff like that.

You'd probably have to rip them yourself, but maybe the Graphics for 1-B from Smartball.

Also, does anyone know if there's a graphics set for the Cave levels from Aero The Acrobat 2?

Hmm, those Smartball graphics are nice, but too happy. I want more 'realistic' broken buildings, yanno, more gritty.

Would Contra 3's first stage graphics work?

Oh that might work yes, I'll have to look around for some sprite rips, thanks. :)

Gonna ask again, but does anyone know of/have a good dungeon/cavern tileset?

I'm not sure if this helps but someone did a mixture of blocks with a dungeon/grassland style shown below:

You could probably do the same for a dungeon/cave tileset.

Or just placed in the root of the world, like was done for ASMBXT.

Er, would anyone be able to rip Contra 3's stage one background? I'm not entirely sure how to do it and the broken skyscrapers are perfect for one of my levels.

If you ever need Charlie sprite edits, please make something out of this...

Not sure if we need to make a new thread or not:

Did a couple of resprites of the Switch Goombas.

The Mice from Smartball

The Zakkos from Keith Courage

Big Boo request incoming!

I need some big boo graphics, the purpose of which I cannot mention because it is absolutely spoilers*SPOILERS*. I need it to look like a cashier.

Here's a reference *SPOILERS*

This is the background I'm hoping to get ripped for one of my levels : http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k160/ ... led-19.png

I could possible just edit that image, but I don't know if it'll look alright since I'll have to make it larger at possibly a loss of quality.

How does one grab a background from a Snes rom? O.o

Depending on what emulator you're using, disable graphical layers until you just have the background, then take a screenshot.

EDIT: How's this?

It's that easy to do? I feel dumb now. ^^ That looks big enough to work, I'll have to see how it looks. Thanks SAJewers. :)

I have an idea. But for it to make sense I need to recount a strange experience from work.

I was washing some dishes as usual, scraping off excess food with my fingers, when I felt a sharp pain in my thumb. I had jammed what felt like a needle right into the underside of my thumbnail and it was bleeding lightly. Thinking that I had pricked myself on a piece of glass, I had half a mind to take it and show it to whomever was careless enough to leave broken glass in the sink, but then I blinked, because surely my eyes were deceiving me. I bent my head closer to the plate and sure enough, there it was, unmistakably, a little sliver of the coldest and most rock hard cheese you ever did see.

Therefore, I request that the poison mushroom be resprited as a block of cheese. If I recall, we don't have a resprite for the poison mushrooms. Demo seems to eat all the vegetables, but maybe she can be lactose intolerant?

The resprite needs to look poisonous/deadly/as if will do bad things to you. It can't just be a big hunk of cheese unless we make it known that it's deadly early in the game.

I hate cheeze and not alice can be all 'ugh I hate cheeze so cheeze will hurt you'

Yeah it'd need to look rotten or radioactive or something to work. Even if a textbox told you the fine-looking cheese was harmful people would probably still get confused a bunch.

question does anyone has a clear image of the charlie horse rex replacement of asmt?

not that I'm making a level or anything.

On the hypothetical but unlikely chance that you may or may not be making a level that might happen to be in the sequel, please possibly make sure it might be doable by you yourself, so as to not perhaps punish yourself for what you may or may not have created.

Uh... what?
I'm also slightly reminded of that puppet joke...
