I think that looks better than the original.
Here is the Ice Iris. Now we need only the Racoon Iris and some of the Cutscenes need respriting.

What about Hammer Iris and Tannoki Iris?

Also, if you guys want, we can do something different for those. I was never really a fan of the Hammer suits for Demo or Iris anyway.

Hammer and Tanooki don't have hair. I'll see if I can make the Racoon with the help of some shortcuts.

Here is the complete set of new Irises. I had to remake the Fire and Ice powers to correct the shading.
Edit: luigi-7 mask is not completely black, and the luigi-2 should have been the one from earlier.
I'll reupload tomorrow.

still need I tiny, and I CALL IT. but before getting to deep, does this design look good? the old tiny iris is shorter than her hitbox

Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't look like luigi-2 wasn't changed at all.

Also, what about luigi-5 and luigi-6?

As I edited earlier, use the one that was made by Ittababy. I have limited internet right now and cant fix the packade before tomorrow.

The changes made to them were only for the hair and the eye. I don't think I can draw anything more fitting for the hammer, and I like the ghost powerup.

Reuploading Iris.
- Fixed some masks.
- Racoon Iris is less jittery when floating downwards.
- Added the correct version of luigi-2.

I don't really think that luigi-5 or 6 should be changed, just because we have a chance to do that.
The strong color fits to the strong powerup, and the orange goes well with the green.
It's good to keep it simple.

Here is the current Iris pumpkin head, in case someone wants to try redrawing it.

How do these sprites look against the default backgrounds? They don't blend in, do they? The preponderence of greens and blues kind of worries me.

raocow did not have problems with the character colors on his ASMBXT playtrough.

raocow's not the world, and he knows the characters and what to look out for anyway. I share ztarwuff's concern on this. It's never a good idea to blend your character in with anything unless you're trying to be confusing. Look at that recent A2MT level with the super blue/orange where Demo was nearly the same colour as the ground. It was confusing. Can you name a proper video game (not a fangame or hack) where the main character(s) blend in with the background?

That level was confusing more because of the ambiguity between what's solid and what's background. It was also disastrously hideous and visually tiring.

Personally, I've never had any trouble distinguishing Demo from any of the default graphics.

And you'll notice the default Mario backgrounds aren't red, because they put some thought into this. We should change the default backgrounds, if only subtly, to make them less blue. If you look at the main colours in the default backgrounds, blues and greens are everywhere, which is a problem when every playable character is blue (Demo, raocow & Sheath) or green (Iris & Kood). They were clearly made for a game where the main character is red. In any case, I don't think anyone was suggesting not to make the player characters not blue or green with certain powerups, just not the exact shades of blue and green that are used in half the backgrounds, like Fire Iris is. For example, Luigi still works against the backgrounds because he's a fairly bright green, but you guys have chosen dark greens for Iris. Independently, the sprites look amazing, but considered with the default background, they're not the best choices.

Blue: 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 35, 36, 45, 49, 51, 55, 56
Green: 3, 4, 6, 13, 20, 21, 24, 32, 34, 37
Purple: 16, 40, 46, 58
The above colours all blend with blue and green.

These colours make blue and green stand out:
Brown: 5, 17, 25, 38, 39, 41, 44, 52, 53, 57
Black: 18, 19, 23, 47
Grey: 15, 33, 42, 43, 54

These colours stand out against blue and green and draw focus away from the playable characters:
Orange: 14
Yellow: 26
White: 48, 50

can you darken the bottoms outline a bit? I can't really explain, but I think it'd look better.

Doctor shemp I think you are turning insane.

Has there been any point, at all, ever, anyone saying anything about demo beign hard to see in the background, in any game, complete or incomplete. Woodchuck Wood doesn't count because the whole palette of the level is terrible period.
