Is there a way to make backgrounds static? As in, they remain in a fixed position as the screen scrolls?

The SMB2 cave BG does that.

Anyone know how to make the glass case npc vulnerable to fireballs? I remember it being so in an old version (hence

Science replacing glass

having "15" HP), but I can't seem to replicate it in 1.3+ even with nofireball=0

Assuming you mean "Underground", then it seems to be scrolling when I test it.

I'm replacing Link for my game, but the character is shorter than Link.
Is there any way to make a character's hitbox half as tall?

There is a way to do that on lunadll. I don't remember what the code is though.

If the game crashes for you with the error "Run-time error '13'Type mismatch.", Go to Region and Language Settings, and change your decimal symbol to "." instead of ","

We should probably stick a warning about this in the release thread since very few people seem to notice the readme.

I couldn't find a troubleshooting board (Sound Problems)

You may all have heard this before, but I can't seem to solve the problem. The game/editor/loader just randomly drops sounds for no reason. Sometimes it's not bad, but other times it makes it really surreal, like no music, or no sounds for killing enemies. But it seems to work fine in all the videos of it I've seen. What's happening?

Right, so I'm trying to make an autoscroller using lunaDll (coding that works fine, it's not the problem), but after a couple screens I get a massive amount of compression artifacts.

Like so:

Anyone know how to fix this? (Or just delay it for ~50 or so screens, I've actually got something I could use it for...)

I can't say with certainty but it looks like you're scrolling past where the background ends. The backgrounds in SMBX aren't actually unlimited and it looks like that screenshot is just past the lower right edge of the one you're using. If that's what it is you'd need to move your level up and to the left so that doesn't happen.

I believe that also happens if you use an event to enlarge the section boundaries such that the new boundaries are larger that was it was originally.

Has anyone got an idea for a bonus world reward? Here's what I thought up but they can't work for reasons:
1. New playable character - the map would have glitches.
2. Infinite powerups - this would obsolete the game's shop system.
3. Some sort of passworded bonus folder like Return to Dinosaur Land, where it has cool episode graphics replacements - it's far too easy to get the password from the editor.

Need a certain A2MBXT resource for my project

Yo guys, I didn't know which thread to post this topic in, so here.

Anyways, mind helping a fellow talkhauser here? I'm working on a simple flash game for my project over here, based on trolls and whatnot, and I figured the best troll music to use would be the version used in A2MBXT; you know, the one from U. Mad. If it's all right to do so, could someone upload just that mp3 here? It would reeally help.

Thanks again!

I don't know what you're talking about but the best place to ask is probably the A2MBXT subforum so I'm teleporting you there

Here is a download link for the original level. The music should be inside.

Ah, thanks, you two. While it isn't just the music itself, this works.

In case you guys are interested, I may upload said flash game later here. Don't expect anything fancy in the slightest, though.

Is there any way in Paint.NET, a plugin for such, or anything else, to recolor multiple images together? Or is it recoloring each and every block all the way down?
