Are they being spawned by spawners or did you place them individually in the editor?
They are thwomps I placed individually.

That's really weird. I have never had that happen. Have you posted the level?

Alright, I am not completely sure myself what the Legacy Boss option does. I've looked at the last level of The Invasion 2 and it seems that even the final boss does not have Legacy Boss enabled, right? The option is supposed to call upon the end of the game right? Am I missing something huge here? Probably?
Also, in the Warps and Doors under the Warp to Level thing... What's the difference between if you select Normal Entrance as opposed to Warp 1, Warp 2, etc.? I've been experimenting for a while and I haven't been able to notice anything.
Thanks!

Doesn't "Legacy" in programming usually mean a feature that has been superseded by a new version's better feature but has been kept in anyway to avoid breaking things made in older versions? So I'd assume it's that.

Does anybody know where the graphics for the shoes are? The graphics in the NPC folder only change the look when not wearing the shoe.

Unless I'm mistaken, as I haven't used it in ages since it's outdated and unnecessary, it makes the NPC drop and SMB3 boss orb on death. I don't know if it works with non-boss NPCs though. End of Game is called through events.

Normal Entrance warps you to the level start location when you go to the other level. A warp brings you to that warp in the level instead.

It's hardcoded. Can't be changed. Sorry!

I have now, it's here:

Perhaps it is just an issue with my computer. I hope it is at any rate.

Shouldn't there be a certain color that acts as transparent?

Make the background colour for the coloured image black.

Sadly - it is also happening on my computer.
What I found is that all you NPCs are behaving exactly like spawned NPCs for some reason (they despawn when they're off screen a little bit. Also - NPC spawners don't despawn when off screen.
I have no idea why that's happening though.

freelop maybe someone could completely remake your level, without changing anything of course, and see if it still does it.

Were they placed on the Spawned NPCs layer rather than the normal one somehow?

No, and even when I tried making a new layer to place them on - they still despawned.

Dang how bizzare.
Could it be something as silly as having too many background tiles?

I have a similar problem with the rain tiles on my level. Whenever I go through a pipe they despawn near the pipe, but if I go far away enough from the pipe entrance and I come back they show up.

Frelop, after fiddling with your level, I noticed only section 1 has the No Turn Back set to On. I turned it Off and the NPCs stayed where they were supposed to be. I'm guessing that's what's been despawning them.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense. It's kind of stupid that the option despawns everything off screen as opposed to just to the left though.

Is it possible to make a background automatically scroll, independent of player movement?

Nope. You can fake it with an animated background, but it will be really choppy.

Couple of questions:
- Can I change whether or not an enemy is invincible to lava, and if so, how?
- Can I make my level how tall I want, or will I eventually run into a height limit?

I don't think there is a noteworthy height limit. but if you make a section super wide and super tall - you could actually run into another section. If you move the editor's view 200000 along the x and y axis, you'll hit the next section. As long as your level isn't both really really wide and really really tall - you should be fine.
