Remember you still have savestate 10 at the Pokey part.
Also: Puzzle Path will probably be a huge disappointment, but I still want to see it.
So here are 10 more votes for it. Just because I can.

You're supposed to put the key where you can fly into it mid-flight.
You'll hold the key, but retain normal flight properties (being able to control your height by opening and closing the cape, though Mario will be animated holding the key).
(that's a glitch raocow had to find out in the first castle of Super Challenge World

)

So there is where the flying comes into play.
I know of Super CHallenge World and one of the vips where it is required, but it was a lot easier there.

:D
I think the puzzle is to find that red cross.
I didn't expect this kind of level, but I'm not complaining.

Hey!
After my 1 day hiatus, I was like "Man, time to return to the LP business" :D
But then, I noticed that I already recorded something which should've been uploaded yesterday XP
I hate time issues DX
Anyway, here's what you should've gotten yesterday :D
Part 20a (Puzzle Path)
Part 20b (Puzzle Path)

Nah, you don't have to. Also, they are called
spike tops.

When they are in places like in the screenshot there is a small gap between them, through which you can jump. May take some tries, though.

WHAT THE F**K?!
When was this submitted? it wasn't ever completed?
also, why is a level from my 1st hack in here! i never submitted that?!
Guys, i was the one in charge of completing this thing, and apparently someone has leaked it. I don't now how some of these levels got in here, but i assure you, they weren't the original entries.
what you are playing is a fake. I can submit the "real" colab any doubters if they don't believe me. its unfinished, but it certainly isnt *this*
I'd just like to say, please excuse the level used as my entry. I made that over 3 years ago, about a month into smw hacking. It is not a valid representation of my work. In the real colab, i submitted a level entitled "windy woods" as well as another "final level", which should be there somewhere.
...i really don't even know what to say about this. I'm flat out disappointed in you guys.
EDIT: I just scrolled through some of these videos- it looks like the levels don't even have the ExGFX added to them. I custom fitted ExGFX to literally every level in this hack!
...what the hell is going on guys??

Haha, yeah, I thought I saw some previews for levels that had custom music too, and everything in this was pretty much vanilla. So how far along is the "real" thing then?
anonymousbl00dlust wrote:WHAT THE F**K?!
PS you can swear here, and if you couldn't I'd still do something about fake swearing

well, systemcrash is in charge of it at this point, but i don't know how far along he is.
i gave it back to him a LONG time ago with everything but sprites and music inserted.
i'm more just in shock that someone actually duplicated one of my earlier levels tile for tile. really, why would anyone do that??
I'd also like to note, that there were also flying airships on the overworld in the "real hack", along with the custom graphics. also, if I'm not mistaken, i had to edit bowser's ruins because 2 of the jumps are *literally* impossible. also, scrolling wasn't implemented in the final room.
It'll be really funny if this ends with an unplayable level. as much as it would suck for gvirusg (sorry dude), it would scream justice for whatever thief stole this thing.
If people would like, I would be willing to make a video of me in LM showing of the updated versions of the levels already played (i.e. with the new graphics and such). Also, if my fears are correct and the final room + my REAL level are not included in this hack. I would be willing to release them as a standalone. unlike lemmy's retreat, they don't suck (although they are MUCH harder)

I'm pretty sure since a lot of people apparently didn't get any of their creations in that your "real" level isn't in.
Also when I played it I had to cheat at a lot of parts that I couldn't figure out so I don't know if they were literally impossible or if I am just not super good. Although, saying that, there were some parts that didn't feel very "kaizo" at all and more just really difficult jumps (like in the latest video for example)
Anyway, I'd certainly be interested in seeing a peek of the "real" thing.

This is just BULLSHIT!!!
I mean, if this is indeed not the real collab, then all of my videos were done for NOTHING!!!!!!!!
FUCK!
I noticed the missing airship and I noticed that there was no custom music and I also noticed that it was nearly completely vanilla, but the way it was released made it look like it was actually done!
Apparently, several people had been working on this thing without knowing of each others existence!
I might put this series of videos on hold, because I actually wanted to play the "real" collab, you know?
Does Systemkrash have an account here?
I'd like to contact him DX

calm down, calm down. the levels you played were mostly all in the colab. they just had really good graphics and custom music. the gameplay was all the same, so there is no need to panic.
the only thing you need to worry about is MISSING content. thats it.
I was mostly just upset because I spent almost an entire year working to make these levels more visually approachable, and putting in other cues to help steer the player in the right direction without changing the level design. if anything, I'm the one who looses here.
This may be a good thing. You have successfully returned interest to what i long thought to be a dead hack. This is major hype here- systemcrash may have forgotten or abandoned the real project; now he has growing incentive to pick it back up or hand it off to someone else.
As for any worry about "replaying" the levels- just play what you have. if there is ever a "true" release, i will open it up in RLM for you, and repoint all the exits to the beginning of each level you have played. However, if you want to wait for the more 'high quality' version of each level, then i guess we will all just have to see what systemcrash says.

wow, talk about a plot twist..
Do you know who gave you that version? You might be able to find out who did it.
Also, systemkrash does have an account
here, but you might have more change at SMWC.
But seriously, this sucks big time. I think you should just put this on hold, wait for the real version to be released and play the levels you haven't beaten first, and then have someone like bl00dlust change it so you can play the missing content and the use a patch to beat it with one button. You deserve that..
Apparently, jesus sent the colab to Systemkrash, An00bis, Spade and ChaoticFox in November so you might want to contact all of those for a push in the back. Let them work on it. Top priority number 1!

so I PMed systemkrash, and he is also aware of this '2nd colab'. I asked him if he would be willing to work on the project, but all i could really get from him was a "we'll see"
this is what he said exactly:
..And there's the problem. I kind of have to worry about two of my projects IRL with homework, and try to moderate a few hacks here and there. Secondly, I forgot what I last worked on in the HLC ROM, and I also don't think I know anyone who USED TO had free time as I had. I will see what I could try to do though..
so yeah, food for thought, or something.
if there is anyone out there who is somewhat experienced (e.g. can efficiently manage music, sprites, levelasm, ExGFX, FGmap 16, BGmap 16, importing/exporting multiple levels, putting together a large project in general) and reliable, it would be most appreciated if they could help in jump-starting this endeavor. I have already offered to make some more graphics for the few remaining areas that have been left 'vanilla', and that 'final level' that was commonly thrown around can be quckly finished now that my occupational center work has been finished (although i do still have school, so don't ask too much from me). so, if you're interested, please speak up.
all food for thought, people. feel free to discuss...

This is an Announcement video, please watch it
So yeah, The Real Pack MUST be finished for me to continue this series XP
Any suggestions on what to play?
I'd like to play "Obelix" for Gameboy, but if you people have a romhack or so for me to play or review, then go ahead and send it to me ^^
AND once again, we play "Guess the Picture" :D
What did I draw there? post your interesting solution here or on the comment section at youtube ;)
so yeah, hoho

well, if you're still in the mood for something hard (ya know, like to prepare yourself), you could try either "super ear man bros" or another game called "Being Struck By Lightning is Probably the Best Way That You Could Die On Account of All of Its Awesomeness"
other good freeware/browser games that i know of are "cubophobia" and "paper moon".
hope that helps

Yesh, SyStemkraSh here. I really wouldn't call this fake, anonymous; it seems to me that it's more of a misunderstanding between the creators. I guess I'll answer some questions here..
@ Kilon: This is all from what I may or may not remember. The one who had made the 1st (which all of you guys are calling a "fake") Kaizo Pack was Dotsarecool, who (from what I remember) was one of the creators who had worked on the Kaizo Pack before me.
@ GVirusG: Yes, I'm here. Got any questions?
..Anyway, I'm pretty busy with IRL stuff right now. It probably won't be for a long time before I can actually work on the "2nd" Kaizo Pack again. I guess I'll take any questions you guys have about the Kaizo Pack.

yes, i realized it wasnt "fake" after you informed me dots was the one who made it. However, Dots was actually the 2nd person to abandon the project; after that, i adopted it, worked on it, then gave it to you and chaoticfox.
This was all documented in the ongoing threads from each reincarnation of the project. However, It was made pretty clear who was in charge of what as time went on. I haven't been referring to it as "fake" since you informed me that dots was the one who released it, but the fact is that he went ahead and worked using old material, when it was very clear that the project had advanced dramatically, and there were new leaders involved.
I'm in no way claiming he did it knowingly, simply that he really circumvented the entire process if development- as a result, a good 50% or more of the project was cut. He choose not to implement what we were planning to implement because he got burnt out; while this is understandable, the '2nd staff' did not.
More than anything, it just seems that since he didn't really even have the 'level list', dots just kind of threw in whatever levels he felt like from each multi-level submission. as a result, the levels are somewhat mediocre.
so yeah, I'll admit, i stand somewhat corrected. I should have pointed that out, sorry.
