Is it just me, or does the overworld seem larger than usual? Did he do some coding to change its size or something?
Also raocow, you need to turn up the volume in your videos. This game has some pretty good music sometimes, and your viewers can't always hear it.

^ Yeah, I'll second that. Every time raocow says "this is some awesome music" and I can't hear anything I'm sad. :(

Well, I'm playing mkm2 along with raocow because of 2 reasons:
-I get to play the levels myself(because some are just awesome)
-I get to hear the music RAWR!

Well, that was a nice throwback to the SMW Level Design Contest, although I'm still not sure what those pipes with circular arrows mean... perhaps they just progress the coin puzzle at the end to the easier version? How easy can you make the puzzle?

I still don't understand what's so damn funny about that thunder clap in the intro.
(woah, I actually commented in this thread!)

they're reset pipes.
also talking bout that chocolate level contest, you know that level that didn't win but everyone over here loved it, the one that had awesome gravity and stuff, has that guy made a full hack?, raocow should definitely play that if there is.

I was just reading through SMWC's Hack Removal Log, and... was MKM2 seriously just removed?

wait games get removed just for having cut off?, If I ran that site I would have it so that hacks with cut off just said in big red letters on their page: "This hack has cut off!, don't play if it offends you or whatever", don't remove it, sheesh!

SMWC has ridiculously high standards.
And some of these are just insanely picky. Like the one where the guy points out every minor tiny error. Some I had to look for even AFTER he pointed them out.
Christ, it's depressing.

I thought we were done complaining about SMWC's Moderation.

You know, I think MKM2 is a great hack, but believe me, you're really better of ignoring whatever it has as a storyline. It is very silly, as you'll see.

Yeah, the story is a bit too strange or goofy for a ROM hack, so I tried to ignore it in the first game. I'm thankful that this game doesn't have as much.

I have never had a romhack make me this angry. It's not that anything major is wrong with it, but now instead of letting the little stuff go by, I blow it all out of proportion and get even angrier. Every time I see something slightly redeeming, I wait another day so that I can say "finally, it's starting to improve." Unfortunately, every time, my hopes just get crushed in a more and more spectacular way.
I think it was that cave full of dead Toads that first set me off, and now everything is about a million times worse because it's in that context. Case in point: I liked today's second level during the chocolate level contest, other than the fact that the boss seemed pretty arbitrary. Today, I'm fuming over the fact that solving the coin puzzle on the first run doesn't give you a secret exit, and it's seriously annoying me how the top of the moving box is cut off for no real reason during the second half of the ride.
Tomorrow's MKM2 video will mark the first one of raocow's videos that I ever chose not to watch. This game really rubs me the wrong way, and even raocow's commentary can't save it. I tried to give this game a chance, I really did, but today made it obvious to me that it isn't going to happen. Sorry Cyphermur9t, nothing personal, but this game left a bad first impression on me and I can't seem to look past it to see the good.

Well... then you dont play many Romhacks i guess.
I mean... these complaints are so silly. I have no idea what to say. Im so stunned.
Im Sorry but i dont get it.

OUCH.
Did you watch some of raocows other projects ? Go and watch
Master Courses for example.
Or even better - go and play that. If MKM2 makes you angry, at leat 50% of raocows other (Mario) projects may give you a heart attack !
But you should already know that. Because you seem to know his other (or lets say - older) stuff. Thats exactly why i cant take this critic serious. I know it may be right at some point. But compared with ALL the other mario hacks he did ... ALL the annoying or unfair or bugged parts in other hacks... thats just .... BUH!
Im not gonna say anything else to the critic mentioned in this thread.
(It's just a game guys.)
And not even a commercial one.
I-Im not sure, but what do people expect today from Mario Hacks ?
Seriously WTH ...

Well, they're a little more than just a reset pipe if the coin puzzle near the end of the first map changes.

to be fair it's not 'bluuuhh THIS HACK SUCKS AND I HATE IT FOREVER' it's 'hey I found some things that look clunky and are real easy fixes, you should get them out of the way before this is widely distributed then I'll be happy to have it on the site'

I don't think I would ever find a game so bad that I wouldn't watch raocow's lp it, that's the beauty of lp's after all, I don't have to play it.
also the real reason I watch is for the commentary, rao could upload a video of him defragging his hard drive and I would still watch if he has his commentary over the top.

I watch for the game, not the commentary. The commentary is just like icing. If you have some game everyone's heard of that isn't special in the slightest, it doesn't matter if the greatest commentator in the world LPs it, I still won't watch it.
P.S. I hate smw hacks and the smw hacking community they're all the same to me except if it's not from smwcentral which is why I don't watch romhack LPs of anyone unless it's actually an interesting game.

Yes, I've seen just about everything that raocow has done. And yes, I know my complaints are completely unfair and unreasonable. Even I can tell that, because I didn't have those complaints the first time I watched the level. I'm nitpicking the heck out of this game and I can't seem to stop doing it, so rather than just spewing irrational hatred or forcing myself to stay quiet on the subject, I'm done watching.

I used to be in this camp. Heck, I watched "How to download the VIPs" when I already had them sitting on my hard drive, so yeah. This game made me reconsider that stance, because it's not that the video content is boring - it actually makes me angry just watching it. And as people pointed out, it's just a video game, so that shouldn't be happening.

I don't know if this would be good or not, but it sounds kind of hilarious and I want raocow to do it.
Well you know if you just want to hear raocow talk then just check out the Plate. But I guess sometimes raocow's even better just alone, and if you take out the game aspect then he doesn't even have the characters in the game to interact with and he'd have to get even more creative and absurd, like talking to the little images of the computer defragmenting. Which, I think, would just make him appear insane more than anything else...
as for this actual hack...I thought the first one was nothing special and I honestly don't think much more of this one. Definitely better but, I don't know why, I'm just not very excited whenever I go to watch it. It seems like just another hack, just a little prettier. Every once in a while it'll throw something new in and I go like "well, that's cool", and it's nice, but overall, like I said, I'm just indifferent. Maybe if I actually played it it would be more fun? I've never played a hack or tried to make one, so maybe that's my problem, but...meh.
though I do love the use of wario land enemies. I think bucket head is so cool
