True story, but that doesn't mean it's easy. The older version of it was all about practice, actually, but still a hard level. The newer version of the level is still not easy, but a lot more predictable and a little more forgiving.

Since the older version depends on practice, I'd give it like 9 for blind and 7 for when you don't play blind, but also don't fully know where the hazards are.
The newer version blind gets a 6 from me.
Since both versions are short, I don't consider the difficulty to be too much of a problem.
But as said, that's my personal estimation, so I don't know how you guys/girls (if there are any around here) feel about it.

we all knew the next castle level wouldn't be a full level video, but I didn't expect it to 'end' so soon.

The Chomp Rock reveals a Flower.
In order to solve that puzzle, make sure, the Chomp Rock hasn't spawned, yet, and go below the brick. Wait for the Zeus Guy to come at you and jump off from it in order to get on top of it before Chomp Rock has enough time to get stuck. It requires some good timing and controls, but I'm sure you can make it.

This is pretty late to the party but if you're still having trouble/didn't return to it today, here's a demonstration. Maybe your problem was you were trying too early? You want the Zeus Guy level with you because it's a tight hover. If he's on the ramp portion of your platform you won't get enough height. You also need to play tricks with the game's camera which is kind of unintuitive, although I'd call the up arrow a good enough hint.

While you're up there, there's a bit of a problem with the topmost puzzle that I don't think Yoshis Fan has solved as of this latest patch. When you shoot the breakable block in the ceiling with an egg, the bounce arrow might not spawn because you are too low. If it doesn't, go to the top right corner's platform (where the rock was), force the camera to go up, then walk back and it should fall.

yeah so since about 5:30 this morning I've been trying to upload the latest video and it just won't go beyond the 'processing' phase. I leave for work in 20 minutes. If I can't make it work till then... let's hope it 'processes' at some point in the day?!

raocow, please use one of the newer versions of the hack for playing 6-5. (Means, in case you have updated the last time before 2012-07-05, do it, please.)

I really enjoyed todays level.The many doors were pretty neat and that "ride the transparent taxi-ghost" part was really well made.
The boss-fight was kinda weird but I can't imagine how to make that boss any more interesting than spikes and stuff, so it was allright.

You know, the fight was would have been made 10x easier if you just started aiming upwards and threw your egg.

Because Megaman is straightforward. Super precise and demanding platforming while having to explore everything, solve puzzles, and abuse tools, is probably what is wearing you down. I think it wouldn't be that bad for you if you just played through the levels without caring at all for 100%.

Well, face it, Yoshi's Island is an exploration game in chunks. Like I said before, it's meant to be explored, then completed. Your mindset has to be on either exploring or execution/platforming; doing both only works if you checkpoint everywhere like you did with Metroid Legacy.

Don't forget that the Megaman game is also someone's "original" creation, meaning that they can add new elements as they see fit. While Yoshi's Fan did a considerable amount of customizing to YI, it doesn't change the fact that it's still YI with the vanilla YI elements intact.

In all its complexity, raocow forgets to grasp how simple the level is built and it's a short level, too.
raocow, if you're going for 100 pts, I'd recommend re-visiting the seemingly dead-end rooms which didn't make any sense to you and have a closer look on what is going on (there were enough hints; in the first one of them you've missed something evident in the video and in the second room you should have done what you've tried in the first room. The almost equal structure of each of these rooms is a good thing to comply with either).

I found the former image a lot more fitting for you (no discredit intended).

Perhaps you don't like playing Yoshi becuase subconsciously you know you could do better playing. Let's face it, Rao is a pretty terrible Yoshi player.
