Aaaaaaand it ends on its worst note. Nevermind, the game was still amazing.

No current plans to do the rest of the missions. I could be convinced, but with 79 of them (therefore at LEAST doubling the video count from what I took to do the main game) it will take a LOT of convincing.

Bonus: Showing off the post-game skills (that all suck) and all the different mission types

I've started my Minecraft thing but I probably won't post that here as it is a secondary (technically tertiary if you count Worms) thing. I'll consider what I want to play next for a "main" project and edit this thread when I start it.

Was thinking a lot on how I wanted to structure the OP now, since this will be the third LP in this thread. But I think it's all done at this point, so yay!

Start of a new thing! Actually part 2 is almost up as well, sorry about that. But we are going into a blind run of Rayman Origins! Game is super crazy 2D fun. Sadly it'll be single-player only, but I think we'll have a fun enough time for that to not matter TOO much.

Ubisoft apparently had a Content ID match on the first part though, I dunno if that is gonna be a thing throughout the series. If it is, it just means that they'll have ads on the videos. Hopefully. If things start getting blocked then I'll have to see what I can do... but then again it might just be from the opening cutscene, I dunno.

Two minutes in and you can already tell that this will be epic.
And then we played Gradius. With a bug. Awesome!

This is a really good game that makes equally good use of its art. It's not a favorite, but it was fun.

Bah, between uni scripting and playing on a friend's Minecraft Server I forgot to update this... so another double-parter!

Part 3: Chest Chasing to learn mechanics of the game
Part 4: WIND! ARCH-ENEMY OF THE WORLD! Only it isn't so bad in this game

@Bean: Yes, the artistic style is definitely amazing. So far I've really been enjoying this, and am positively looking forward to how it ramps up the difficulty later on.

It doesn't get hard until much later. I'd pinpoint when, but that would be a spoiler. But when it gets hard, it gets insane. Playing single player might not be the best thing for multiple reasons, one of the main ones here being that it's a lot more doable with multiple people. Good luck though.

Really? My housemates kept holding me back :D
I guess it doesn't help when you point out that attacking gives a speed boost...

Oh man! Ice World Activate!

Many suicides in the name of getting items since lives are a non-issue in this game. And yet I still don't get all of the stuff. Nevermind.

Now featuring Touhou 11! Subterranean Animism has been a LONG time coming, for various technical and personal reasons. Eight months in fact. But it's done now, and I can finally get this one off my back! (Not that anyone ever asked for it, but still).

Two stages per video, with one for intro and one for Extra. So they'll be going up in the next few days.

Part 0: Intro stuffs

What? Cal is actually LP'ing one of the HARDEST Touhou's on Lunatic? Seriously?

Yeah, doing this game on Hard now (whilst it would maintain consistency with my old LP's) would be a disservice to myself. So I am stepping up my game and playing Lunatic! Will I make it?

Standard old format, two stages per video, one video for Extra. Good times.

The part where the true power of hell makes me forget how to play for just over a level. Ack well.

Still, first attempt on camera and it was done! Amazing really, none of my other Touhou LP's have gone like that. And none in the future will either :P

And now we take on the master of the subconscious...

I have a long history with this stage. It was the last one by FAR that I cleared (I was beating most of the games on Hard before clearing this), for reasons I still can't quite figure out. Koishi really isn't that bad - everything she throws at you is either static or can be manipulated to do the same thing every time. I guess she is just typically harder than most of the other Extra's (not that she has much to compare to overall!)... hardest, but most learnable? Perhaps.

And with this LP done, I'm now at an impass. I can't yet DO UFO on Lunatic, but to go back to Hard now doesn't FEEL right. So I leave it to you, the dear viewer, to help me decide where my Touhou LP's go from here. I could either wait to continue them whilst I get better at UFO, or I could just continue on and go back down to Hard for what is easily the toughest game of the series. An alternative would be going back and LP'ing the previous games on Lunatic now, but that would distract me from the main problem here.

So yeah, help?

Oh no! My one annoyance from the demo returns!

He wasn't bad here... but oh boy that one stage in the demo really annoyed me for a decent length of time till I figured out what was up. Looking forward to that next world!

Beware the dark hand left there forever...

I'm going to Pisa for a week for a summer school, so there will be no more videos until Sunday of next week at the earliest. I might squeeze out a Touhou video later today but don't count on it.

More interesting level designs here! Though I'm not too sure about the underwater TNT stuff...

Good to be back from Pisa! Interesting week, though the internet was as good as non-existent. Still really loving World 4 here too!

And World 4 ends, proving itself to not be as hard as the two that came before it. Huh.

Dunno how I feel about that honestly!

In before world 5 kicks my ass...

Weird how the worlds get shorter and shorter. This is something the first rayman did as well.

By the way, that was a crown, not hair.

Oh man, it has been a while since I did a Rayman video! And of course the fairy sequence kicked my ass. Yay.

Also Sebby I got told that by a friend on the video too, but it looked like hair from where I was sitting so hair it is!

Game Mechanic: When you start running on walls, you can let go of you control stick/d-pad, even after jumping from one wall to another. All you have to do is hold the run button.

Does your version have achievements? I've heard the XBOX version has one for that medal during the fairy chase.

Nice glitch though.

Sadly it doesn't have achievements. Well, I say sadly, I don't really care either way, but if there was an achievement for that one medal then it's good that I got it!

Also World 5 is pretty dang short yo. I guess I'll get my ass handed to me by the boss (assuming this is where the first actual boss is, personally it makes sense but this game) and chest chase next time.

This is thankfully as short as the worlds will come in this game. The third boss of the game is a pushover, but the one after him definitely WILL NOT BE!

After you beat Golly G. Gollem, you will want to play the next level on the last world right away. Just trust me on this one.

Also, make sure you do a comparison between your current teensie, and the one gaurding the Tricky Treasure!

Oh my god I have a topic!

Yeah, real life caught up pretty badly. Massive report stopped me from doing too much in the way of actual recording, as well as the Touhou RPG Genius of Sappheiros eating up all of my attention. It was by and large a game I could just relax with, which is what I needed at the time. But maybe now I can do at least a BIT more in terms of LP content!

So here is the next Rayman part! Finishing up World 5. At this point I'm pretty much set on doing 2 levels per video, so that's a thing. I think 2 per video makes for a perfectly balanced length most of the time, since the levels are somewhat long given the secret-hunting aspect.

I totally forgot about playing the next level right away though Sebby... but it's ok, it is just tacked onto the next video instead. I still did two normal levels there, so whatever. To be honest, with nearly a month between the last video and this one I pretty much just went in and did a thing without really going back and focusing on what was done before. I think it was better that way.
