The main MLP hub. Clocks about half a million views a day, so that particular video is going to skyrocket.Ometeotl wrote:...What in the name of fuck is that?

I know ponies are frowned upon in Latin classes, but you'd think people would at least know what equestrian means.

I know what the word Equestrian means. Doesn't mean that I know what everything that's ever used the word as a proper noun refers to.

And yet, he makes a typo that changes his sentence to say the exact opposite of what he means.

I didn't mean you, I meant the people that made the pony cartoon (equus is horse and eques is horseman, so Equestria is a somewhat bizarre name). This observation is probably old hat to pony fans but new to me. My apologies and chill, ome.Ometeotl wrote:I know what the word Equestrian means. Re: Mario Gives Up 2: Let's resuscitate the Princess
The orby shenanigans gave me the idea of having an atxs level where you have to hold up orbit to prevent him from eating you.
Re: Mario Gives Up 2: Let's resuscitate the Princess
Orby Shenanigans reminded me a lot of the kind of gimmick that the Wario Land games would have, specifically Wario Land 4. It was a pretty good level and didn't overstay it's welcome, which is very good for this game!
Still Underground was just that, another underground level. And strangely enough, it WAS JUST THAT. An underground level. raocow pointed this out as well but it bears repeating. This level had no gimmicks, and I think it was for the best after a string of levels with (sometimes hamhanded or generally mishandled) gimmicks to have a nice level you can just sit back and play.
Flashy Glows was also a nice level. Not much to say about it though besides that it was pretty much your average castle level. When playing it for myself I did have a bit of trouble with Fry Guy for some reason. When you "beat" him and he falls to the ground as a lil' sparky dude sometimes he would go into the blocks I was standing on and I couldn't hit him and was forced to die. It kinda sucked but I'm not sure how much of it was whose fault.
Overall after a few days of negativity and bad levels we get a string of pretty good ones, so high marks to Mario Gives Up 2 today.

You have all the time
To make an entire hack with every level having this gimmick
Call it A3MT
Re: Mario Gives Up 2: Let's resuscitate the Princess
And I'd even do it but ugh, three levels are enough, and I still got stuff to do :)
I'm so going to make this during the second a2mt level submission phase

Three levels is good enough for a full hack just make sure you use some munchers and some layer 2 vines and a couple twenty sublevels. Avoid using midpoints too.

You're right. It got a bump, so to speak, and is just under 9000 hits at last check (don't use that meme), which is above the current average (around the 5700 range). But not a burst of, say, 20000 hits or more.Alex wrote: It was posted in a Nightly Roundup, so it might not get that many views.
What's that, an extra $40 in ad revenue?

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic single-handedly bought raocow tomorrow's newspaper.
Good job.
Good job.
Re: Mario Gives Up 2: Let's resuscitate the Princess
This "derp" thing is really getting out of hand. I can't believe he actually partly named a level after a stupid slur from a 12-year old episode of South Park. Freaking internet, ugh.

I think you mean "Freaking Internet, herp a derp"
I don't know what's up with all the meme hate. I don't particularly like Nyan Cat (and by that, I mean I'd love to stick it in a toaster), but it's funny to me when these things appear in NON COMMERCIAL games (note the emphasis).
