Saying that it's a girls' show wasn't intended as a slight against the fans, but it's definitely targeting a young female demographic. Basically the thing is that conventional TV wisdom holds that girls will watch boys' shows and boys won't watch girls' shows, so to maximize your market share you put all your money and talent pool into making boys' shows and leave the girls' shows to pick up the leftovers. Thus, it's rare for a high-quality cartoon to emerge with a young female demographic, which in turn leads to MLP (which is such a cartoon) being perceived as somehow having a miraculous power to draw cartoon fans to a girls' show when what it comes down to is they just didn't halfass it this timeLUE Andy Richter wrote:Hey

I can respect that, honestly, even if I do not like the ponies. Finding a non-sexist person is refreshing.
...anyway yeah, done ponytalking. The layer-shenanigans level looked pretty sweet but some of the flying obstacles were pretty clumsy-looking. It would've been great with more polish.
