You kind of overcomplicated the beginning of today's puzzle; you can just let the gear get down to the lower part, activate the wind orb (preferably with a bomb so that it doesn't interfere with the next step), and then stun the gear so you can get up to the top and activate the black switch.

Also the upcoming section is incredibly fun, if rather difficult. Can't wait for tomorrow's video.

off topic: raocow, set the channel so that either we see the last uploaded videos on the featured tab or make it so that we automatically go to the feed tab. Makes things just a tiny bit easier and we don't care about those playlists anyway.

If you want viewers to go automatically to a tab other than the Featured tab, then click on My Channel. Then click on Edit Channel. Then click on Info and Settings. You will see a "Default Tab and a drop-down menu where you could choose "Videos Tab" or "Feed Tabs". Click on "Save" to save your changes.

If you want to change the Featured Video, click on My Channel and then click on the Edit button right next to the featured video. Then click on the drop down menu to choose "Uploaded Videos" as a featured set and then click on the check mark next to the words "Most Recent Video in Featured Set". Click on "Apply" to save your changes.

surprisingly easily, but the extra world... Oh man, my skill is not even close to half of raocow's. And I did bring 11 health and a bunch of threads and healing thingies. Welp, I was hoping to see the extra boss before raocow, but that ain't happening. I wish I had your endurance, hah! Good luck!

I did this as well, but I think what raocow did here was the intended solution

I always found it strange how there was a whole part of the puzzle that didnt serve any purpose

oh man its the ice thing. I couldn't get past this without using a shirikodama, guess I'm not that good at platforming

Right, that next section, if you try the usual approach of tanking hits, it won't work. 8 health with no shirikodamas is not enough to survive all those hits.

Use the Earthkeeper.

I have recently confirmed that it's very doable if you do it this way (in one attempt, survived the whole part after taking only 5 hits).

In relation to the above post: does this hold the record for the longest LP (timespan, not parts) yet? I don't recall any other LP being drawn out this much, unless MariAri lasted longer than I can remember.

TSRPR - 129 days (this includes the first video of the abandoned savestateless run 3 months after the main LP)
VIP2 Original Run - 130 days (extra day between each episode because of the bowling alley thread, also a couple demo videos 2 months before the main LP)
What The Hell development videos - 179 days (strictly speaking though, this isn't an LP)
SMI2 - 190 days (extra day between episodes because of the bowling alley thread, also bonus video 4 months after main LP)

So... it depends on how you define LP, if you're including bonus videos... but if not, then by the end of the week, yes, Nitroid will be the longest-running LP.

It was a thread on SA where raocow was doing four different Mario hacks at the same time, giving them all one video per day or so. Some days, he'd switch it up and do a few episodes of the same game just to get it going along.

Going to save you some frustration and say that you aren't supposed to be able to bounce your way through the part right where you ended today's video with the tools you have now. And you were right about the room being automatic; however, it tends to not always work, and what happened when you were going through it wasn't what was supposed to happen. You'll easily know when it does work out as intended.

Also, just for your information, the first jump in the wind section is done by hyperdashing into the wall above and to the right of the save point so that you get enough momentum to reach the first block.

The reason you kept not having control when de-Earthkeeping is because the de-Earthkeep process actually takes Nitori slightly off the ground. It's only a few pixels, but it means you can't jump because you're still considered in the air. Combine this with the fact that the wind doesn't care where you are and you have that moment of panic.

Including today's video, Nitroid is up to 187 days, so in four days it will be raocow's longest running LP by any definition.

From what I remember being told, it's some catchphrase of the yukkuri's. Which a sign in world 5 repeats - thanks to the translation I now know it means "Take it easy".

In case you were confused, the bouncies above the spikes at the end aren't where you're supposed to go yet. I had that issue when I was in that stage, where what you're supposed to go for isn't what you think it is.

Soon you will be able to exit the world. As yoshicookiezeus said, you should go get some mushrooms and buy some items. And you can sweep up remaining items in previous worlds (unless you want to get all the items after the boss).
