Your gameplay is as empty as your commentary! Youtube ill needs a savior such as you.
And now the coast is clear, I just need to deal... with my number one fan.
Riku~n, why do you keep wanting to murder me like this?
I wouldn't mind that smile so much if your skin wasn't made of poison for some reason.

Do you actually hate yoshi right down to that horses bones? I would assume not considering you ARE playing a SMW2 hack. But do you REALLY hate him or is it just for comedic affect?

...well I feel like an idiot now.
1. Do you think I'm an idiot now?
2. What's your opinion on all the social networking taking over (okay, at this point has already taken over) the Internet? I mean, publicly displayed favorites on YouTube is a perfect example. It's your favorites, and any random person can come look at it whenever? I've been on the internet as long as I can remember, but it just hasn't clicked yet, y'know? When I think of favorites, I think of it as being kinda like bookmarks or some such thing. The concept that any random person can go look at them, or that I can go look at some other person's favorites to see if they like a thing, just... It doesn't click. This is probably because I'm a very reclusive, singular kind of person, but... yeah.
3. Going back to the derp question from before... so you likey. Okay. Do you feel it's worthy of the ZOMG BEST THING EVARZ it gets, or do you just think it's kinda neat?
edit to add to #3: I was hoping to hear any thoughts you had on it from an Art-Type Person point of view, as 90% of what I've heard about it is fans going squee (I must admit I am guilty of squeeing at this thing like mad myself), and you seem more inclined to judge something on its own merits than on HOLY CRAP BAD APPLE 3D TOUHOU RAYMOO PATCHY SAKUYA FLAN EPIC ZOMG SHIKI ZOMG MOKO ZOMG ZOMG

It's starting to get pretty known by now that I have a big appreciation with minimalistic aesthetics, and sihoulette art is part of that I guess! Really though, I really like the play with the white/black motif, I think it's use very well. That's just... it really. I neat little thing. It's not the second coming or anything like that.

What can be done in art nowadays? It seems as if postmodernism, Dadaism et al. have pushed the boundaries as far as they can be pushed. Where else can art go?
EDIT: Oh hey, first post on the new page!

raocow, do Canadians hate Americans, like those British people on CoD when you play early in the morning, and what are you feelings on America and Americans.

Argumentable - both have their advantages, though I don't know if I want to go in a full on linguistic discussion right now
I think I would be interested in hearing your more detailed thoughts on linguistics. I've never pursued the study of any languages, however I've been told that a language often holds a lot of insight into the culture of those who speak it. I'd imagine an example of how this manifests itself is in how American-English swearing is mostly based around sex, while the French-Canadian "equivalent" is rooted in religion, as you mentioned earlier in the thread.
I find in ignorance people (including myself) tend to assume languages are essentially the same in terms of meanings, with exact translations being possible. Recently I've noticed even the nuances of "internet dialogue", and connotations associated with certain phrases and words from it have been influencing how I perceive what people say, and I tend to automatically take something a certain way despite the actual words said having no particular inclination. Is this similar between different languages aswell? What are the differences you notice between the English and French languages in particular?

French can't pronounce the h. (or actually it's just always silent)Harsh wrote:What are the differences you notice between the English and French languages in particular?raocow wrote:Argumentable wrote:So which do you like better, French or English?

English aren't the best in pronouncing the rolling r.
That is one thing. And you notice it when raocow says raocow. The r isn't an english r but more of a rolling r. Especially in the earlier videos.

Re: Lets Ask: raocow!
Oh man, we, like, tried this? It's really a big problem for Rao's computer. Like we'd need the emulator, Camtasia, and Skype/whatever going all at once, and that really really slows things down. Like down to unplayability even.Harsh wrote:I find myself laughing at the posts between you two, and I feel if you could find a way to do a dual commentary of sorts, despite technical difficulties, I would enjoy it very much.
Also, do find it in yourself to please soldier on through to page 150 or further, because the first 60 pages are tripe. Glad you're enjoying it though!

Donkey Kong's friends are all super annoying to control though. Like, you get stupid strong in some cases, but their controles feel kinda 'off'.

You know, I've been thinking. What if you just have skype video and the emulator running, and I use camtasia to record the skype video feed? Then it's distributed between both our computers.

Re: Lets Ask: raocow!
it's worth a try I suppose?
netplaying causes latency in the control, and I don't know if it's somethign I want to deal with.

Re: Lets Ask: raocow!
Lag has never been much of a problem with us, actually. Not with Skype at any rate. Usually there's some sort of delay of half a second or so, but between us it seems basically instantaneous. I dunno if it'd show up more if he used Skype Video, though.jasssmin wrote: there's a distinctive amount of lag you know?
