What did Ditto ever do to deserve being the poison mushroom replacement? The poor little blob isn't even a poison type. :(

Tut-tut. All the pokemons in that level were wall pokemons. That's not how you build a team.

Agreed. I do really like Mt. Silver's music, so it was nice to see it used in today's level.

The level itself looked really neat as well, easily one of the best so far. :D

if you look at all the power-ups they have eye dots. Ditto is all the powerups.

they propably made him not transform because the one up and super mushroom are now both purple and impossible to tell apart in the level, so making the poison the same too would be pretty much .....well romhack-y.

While I do agree that the Pokemon level was nice (designwise - I do not really like Pokemon, but the level design was pretty neat) I think the R - stage which we will see tomorrow is by far one of the best stages in the game.
Then again DKC 2 is by far one if not my favourite game for the SNES!

I found a secret: if you beat the level the normal way first, you can press start and then select to exit the stage without losing a life when you're looking for dragon coins and secret exits and stuff.

The reason I did things in the order that I did, is that I had passed over dragon coins after I had died, so I knew I'd have to start the level over. Also, I knew there was dragon coin beyond the spot with the whole keyhole activity tunnel. Thus, it made more sense to just do the secret now, and get all the vip coins in one shot after wards.

That was a very nice video. I will REALLY look forward to raocow's reaction once he gets to see the stage inside the Deku Tree. Hopefully he will not get frustrated (the last part of said stage can be tricky), but then again
we all know rocow's reaction 'bout the two DKC stages in VIP 4. Will we see him being frustrated again?

No offence, but I think we can all agree that during the secret exit to "Miracle of Nature", there was some pretty sloppy playing going on... like, usually you'll be like "Ah, gee! I sure am playing pretty sloppy today!", but today in particular... It just seemed like you were panicking the whole time.
And once you got the secret exit, you were able to do the whole level in one run. It was kinda strange.

Oh man, due to your post, I assume that you rather disliked the next level. -.-
Still I stand with my oppinion that tomorrows episode features one of VIP 5's best levels.

For anyone who has played tomorrow's video already including raocow:
The entire part that takes place on foot (which would be the majority) is VERY doable. I was able to run thorugh these rooms qithout having to savestate. The secret is to spin jump on the bees. You are not supposed to dodge them. You can just bounce on them with your spin jump.
However, I assume that you had your problems with the final room. Well I wasn't really good at the equivilant level in DKC 2 and this is even more difficult.
edit: BTW, said stage was designed by carol if you wanna mention it in your description raocow.

Wow, todays trainwreck was unexpected I guess. ;)

@upcoming level
I don't think it's a secret thing to spinjump on the bees. Wasn't there a part where the level forces you to spinjump on them? But yeah, that final room was kinda hellish. At least the last 20% of that freaking room. But all in all it's a fair and well made level. Let's see how it goes!

I think it was pretty obvious that this level was made by carol. Some hackers just have a signature way of doing things. Like ycz.
