I'm a day late on this, but the missions in the OP weren't intended to be organized by galaxy, but rather in the order you did them. It's just to make it easier to find which missions were completed in a specific video, since you're not doing timestamps in the description. But yes, they tended to be grouped by galaxy until the "MIDPOINT" was reached, haha. No need to apologize - just keep doing things the raocow way. And if I can find some free time one of these days, I'll edit the OP with actual timestamps.

as much as i think that galaxy 2 is a very unnecessary sequel, one of the things it does better than galaxy 1 is luigi

you just kind of generally unlock him at some point in that one instead of tucking him into a second playthrough with minimal differences

I think Galaxy 2 is better than 1 just because it remembered to bring the challenge. That said, Toy Time here is one great galaxy since it's both pure platforming and fun gimmicks to go along with that.

The Purple Comet challenge in Toy Time Galaxy was the last star I got in my first run. I don't even completely remember how I cleared it, just that it called for more strategic planning than I could pull off on the fly more than once. It really says something to the testament of raocow's skill that that wasn't even half an episode.

if someone were to provide an alternate savefile where Ghostly Galaxy is unlocked in Luigi Mode, would he do a one-off video to showcase differences in the first mission there, as well as the Honeyhive Cosmic Race?

I'm one of those freaks who never minded Spring Mario, and while only a fool would defend it as-is, I think I understand what they were trying to do. If it had just been 'Mario jumps higher now' obviously nobody would've complained because there would've been nothing to say about it period. Giving it its own physics you have to adjust your inputs for makes it more engaging, but they clearly overdid it. People should feel like they're co-operating with it rather than fighting with it. I don't even think they would have to have made it that much tighter for it to be a lot more palatable.

I certainly wouldn't have made it walljump automatically because that's used for exactly one setpiece which is admittedly pretty cool, and the entire rest of the time it fucks you up

I think Spring Mario is fine. But I think an important factor of that is that Nintendo were aware that it's a bit awkward, so the level design around it is always really generous. (Mandatory) narrow platforms are rare with it, and when they do appear, you get plenty of space to adjust yourself for a straight trajectory. If I recall correctly, the only time rao has died as Spring Mario so far is when he went for that purple coin near the edge in Beach Bowl, but you're supposed to collect that one as regular Mario; meanwhile, the coins on top of the palm trees are never all that close to the edges.

Yeah. In Galaxy 1, they did not think this through. The game save idea you mentioned would be a better idea if you wanted to take a quick look at Luigi.
