Oh yeah also I just want to point out that I saw the walking on roofs thing and the first thing I thought of was Sonic 06. The mailbox checking also reminded me of Kingdom Hearts 1, sadly you can't send letters here for free loot.

Y'know, I totally forgot about Wily's kinda creepy vibe towards Roll. I mostly remembered his voice as being uncharacteristically kind for a Mega Man character named Wily, and also for being distractingly low in volume.

But raocow didn't

try examining the painting itself to talk to the artist, what's what got a reaction before.

MM2's Kerog enemy got one heck of an upgrade, huh... I like that it passed its limitation of "one existing attack prevents spawning more attacks". The Bonnes are far more effective than Wily, it seems. Maybe that's why he's so chill in this world, he's just That outclassed, he'd rather just have a nice life by the sea...

You gotta call roll to make sure everyone's on board the ship before pushing off.

The robot from Laupta Castle in the Sky is a rude boy. But raocow, don't be afraid to backtrack out of a dungeon to heal and save if needed.

The crocos are a good midgame money grind if ever needed since they're right next to a dungeon exit.

Peeps were complaining about raocow not jumping, but I'd honestly do the same thing he did this episode, so as to not mess up the flow of jumping when needed. Jumping and shooting at the same time is conducive to Beating Reaverbot yes, but there is the chance you could end up landing at an inopportune time, namely when the shockwave reaches Volnutt.

i was reading the wiki page on him and apparently

he is literally named that in english because roll wanted to name him after one of her favorite video game characters (in japanese it's just a rock and roll pun)

(volnutt name fun facts)

probably the master of elysium

EDIT: also reply to an older video, i always thought about volnutt's foot armor reading as mechanical sliders/slip-on sandals, rather than like slippers, especially since the game gives off a warm climate vibe with kattelox, but i can see them reading as mechanical bedroom slippers. unless raocow actually meant sandals, just calling them under a different name and im just getting confused

As someone who also doesn't really 100% RPGs anymore, I can vibe with finishing right here with the Main Gate or whatever. I mostly play games to enjoy myself at this point. Like I'm aware some people are super into 100%ing RPGs but I'm just like. I'd rather move on to another game, myself. Also, I'm just really really fatigued a lot of these days. The Struggles of Adulthood.

Mhm, if I go back to an RPG for a replay, I just go through all the beats of it and try to finish it. Sure, if it's a bit messy or I don't 100%/get secrets I don't mind since I'm just replaying it. Heck, depending on the game, I may have a save of a particular fight or story moment that I really enjoyed and I can just load it up from there

Aaaand there it is, haha. Wow, did raocow ever make the right call yesterday by going out to heal/refill the canteen and save before checking out the final console. When I saw yesterday's video length that was exactly what I was worried he'd do.

I'm honestly a bit surprised how effortlessly he dispatched the Gesselschaft, that battle gave me a lot of trouble when I first played it. Meanwhile whenever I fought a boss that is thwarted by circle-strafing they weren't no thing, but raocow has trouble with those. Maybe we have inverse Mega Man Legends abilities?

As far as going for a full clear, it's true there are a lot of nifty upgrades and treasures if you seek them out, but ultimately they'll only serve to make Mega Man more powerful, so look for em if you're so inclined but only as far as you want.

Ahh, there it is, that main gate theme. No idea why but this song has just never left my head.

I guess it's not *super* endgame like I implied, I forgot you went through the main gate a bit before doing the subcities. It's been a long time since I touched this game, man.

Japanese games always mess up the concept of "dating your housemate" by making them an adoptive sibling like, this, Trails in the Sky, Lunar: Silver Star... Apparently Trails of Cold Steel too.

Pay me to write your pairings, basically. I'll still go to bat for Alex and Luna though.

I love the feature of your shots' colour changing as your buster stats change! I would've gobbled that up as a kid; probably would've stayed with equips that gave me red shots no matter the circumstances.

Any chance we could get a sampler of all the new weapons? I feel that since the Great Grenade was required once, it's basically a requirement to have equipped for the rest of the game now, so we probably won't get another chance to see them. (yes, i know i could probably find a video demonstration on YT, but i want to see what cow thinks of them more than anything)

I'm ambivalent on a sidequest/hidden item clean up. I feel like it depends on what raocow wants to do since he is the one playing the game and these LPs are more him just recording his gameplay than anything informative. I'd be down for some extra dungeon plunging and miscellaneous fuckery with the townfolk of Kattelox, but I'm not gonna force it on rao. Personally I'd resort to a guide to point me in the direction of sidequests because I'm bad at video games.
