Is it me or does Banjo not do anything? Kazooie's gotten pretty much every powerup so far, including the ability to move faster and on slopes.

you'll find this out in tooie (which also does give banjo moves of his own) that Banjo is here to be a sack of hp.

In this game he seems to play the role of mediator, willing to talk to people civily where Kazooie...isn't.

It's kind of funny because in Tooie

one of Kazooie's primary limitations besides not being able to climb or swim is that a bunch of NPCs arbitrarily refuse to talk to her without Banjo present, even if they'll talk to Banjo on his own. One could interpret this as them caring about Banjo being the inventory-holder, or as Kazooie being so anti-social no one will put up with her without Banjo around to smooth things over.

Do YOU want to talk to a honking goose when you see one waddle up to you? I know Kazooie isn't a goose but she has the same threat level.

Now it's just 's Valley.

I feel bad for the second attack on him and think it's painfully unfunny, but he deserved that first one. No wonder he was tied to a rock!

Yeah, the first hit is justified (he says he needs his water, but there is SO MUCH around!), But everything that happens to gobi afterwards is absolutely just mean.

I mean, I don't know if the first one is justified. He does probably need the water, that's a camel's whole survival method. And the tree could just get some water from the giant pond that it was in the middle of.

We don’t know whether the tree can move its roots to reach the water in the short term, though if it could it presumably would’ve done so by this point. Gobi, on the other hand, absolutely is capable of walking to the edge and drinking more to replace any water lost, and from his dialogue we can infer that he could voluntarily share the water but chose not to.

And we can’t reasonably assume that the camel wasn’t aware of his surroundings; he was not originally sitting there but instead tied to a rock on the opposite end of the valley. He should be expected to have seen the water in the process of crossing it.

So, my esteemed members of the jury, I ask you: is the truth of the matter not evident now? If we put the pieces together, they all point to one conclusion — Gobi the camel is the boss fight of his valley!

I rest my case, your honor.

jinxy and

loggo

have faces too, and yet they’re both rooted to their respective locations. and the water in freezeezy peak can talk, but we don’t see that stuff move. not everything that has the ability to communicate and express itself has ambulatory capabilities.

life in the kazooieverse is hell for semi-inanimate objects.

The song that plays inside the mansion awakened a deep memory of playing a SMW hack that used that song in one of the levels.

That board game minigame felt like a DK64 minigame, specially with the bad camera that could’ve easily been avoided if they just had it all in a top-down view.
