I like how the thumbnails started out all happy for the series only for the last three to have been that shark, Clanker, and a spike-covered fan blade. Banjo-Kazooie. Rated E for everyone.

Okay I'm noticing the real problem with Brentilda aside from the randomization, she's everywhere. You have to write down or remember SO MANY facts about grunty, it's unreal

Okay I just checked and

There seem to be 10 Brentilda appearances for 30 questions with one possible answer out of three. And it's randomized in each file. I can't decide whether to think this is genius or idiotic it's great

See, I think the game's better at understanding that just about everyone in the game is a sarcastic jerk or knowing they're video game characters so you really shouldn't be feeling bad for ground pounding the choir or anything. It's just how the Banjo world works. Also makes it kind of funny when you play Diddy Kong Racing and see them all happy-go-lucky there instead.

These levels just work. Every time I see them, they're divided up into sections like a lot of Rare's 3D games, but the collectathon stuff wasn't as crazy because those sections are mostly smaller except for the final couple worlds. Just seeing you enter Gobi's Valley and comparing it to Angry Aztec from DK64 is proof of that. Sometimes, smaller is better.

Let's just say there's a reason my family stopped getting live trees when I was young. And that reason is spiders.
So this specific little set piece has always been... stuck in my head. In a funny way.

Not sure what the consensus was in the '90s, but it's widely considered debunked these days that the colossus of Snowdes could have legs outstretched for ships to pass underneath because it would have been structurally impossible.

The water telling you about how it's cold makes me think playtesters would assume it was okay to swim in/get confused by water hurting you because it was fine in previous levels. Especially considering that a past level has you swimming through sewage with no repercussions.

Happy birthday, raocow!

When you first started this LP, I thought about the music for a bit, and the song from this level is the only one I could summon up from old memory to hum with only a bit of thought, other than the hub music of course. I wouldn't rave about how amazing of a tune it is, but there's a certain unique magic to it. The horn part specifically.

Clearly the testers have either not played Mario 64 or not gone skinny dipping in negative temperatures

Sewer levels are just endemic to video games

shrug maybe they thought since Banjo is a bear he would have no problem with the cold water. But honestly, I just don't think a play tester playing the game would think about the real-life logic of the water being cold at all when the vidgame logic has already taught them that water is fine to go in.
