Not gonna lie, I was going to make the thread if I came back home and saw that it still didn't exist. Gone are the days of people fighting over being the host, I guess.

So this is the first time rao's LPing a full-on rhythm game, huh? Just like Wandersong, I never heard of this until I saw it in the "Coming up next" list. And also just like Wandersong, this seems like a game I would rather watch an LP of than to play myself. The charts seem to be getting pretty intense pretty quickly.

I don't really have anything to add other than this game is pretty adorable. I'm not exactly sure it's something I'd want to play myself, so it's nice to at least see it in action. Also, I too had never heard of it until it was added to the "Coming up Next" list.

Hey raocow, is your computer set to Japanese Locale? Several bits of text have been in Japanese when they aren't supposed to be and locale shenanigans seems like the most likely culprit.
As a side note, there's a super secret thing that happens rarely when you pause in this game, It's pretty cool.

Huh, I figured with all the touhou fangames you play on the channel you woulda ran into locale shenanigans at least once. Oh well, if that's not it I'm out of ideas.
While I'm here I should warn, F rank runs are generally considered harder than S ranks, since you can get an S without playing completely perfect, but F rank pretty much requires you to play perfectly badly.

This game has been very charming, but the thing that's been sticking with me the most for some reason is the map screen music. It's been the thing I end up whistling absentmindedly, for the entire past week.

If you want to get F ranks, the main way to do it is by deliberately getting hit once your streak hits like 15-20. Any higher and you're getting too many points, lower and you can't get enough health pickups to keep getting hit. Well, that and not getting any pickups except the health.

So you know how you have to go through Gusty Rapids moving backwards? Well I thought, 'Hey, I know the creators of this game are very clever and talented at composing, so maybe, just maybe they hid some super cool secrets if you play the music backwards!' So, I went through the (very minimal) effort of reversing the track and I found... nothing. Just thought I'd post that here since I didn't get anything else out of it. At least now no one else thinks to do it too and is disappointed!
