west end girls was originally suggested for the bang gang, but then the author of springboard level liked that track in the base ROM and used it too.

That’s what that song was. I knew I heard it before & it was driving me nuts this whole time trying to remember.

This game has a surprisingly good o’erworld. Most hacks, e’en the great 1s, usually just have them just go world to world for the most part, whereas this 1 feels more open-ended.

For some reason I seem to be good at figuring out when a level is automatic. This skill is balanced out by me finding other ways to make a fool of myself. For instance: in Not Roy's Castle I made things harder on myself by mistaking an ordinary turn block for a block you have to throw something at (although it was still quite doable, enough that I didn't really question it until I saw raocow simply hit it with Mario's head).

My foolishness doesn't end there. In this level that you're meant to come back to once you hit the red switch I for some reason thought the red switch blocks were on/off switch blocks and spent quite a few attempts trying to lure a chuck into the pit so I could bounce off its head and hit the switch. I never succeeded at hitting the switch, and eventually I finally thought "hmm, this seems rather difficult for such an early level... wait a minute! These are red switch blocks!".

that sounds like a great troll idea, though. For the next update the red switch blocks shall disappear when hitting the on/off switch

Checkpoints are removed when going for secret exit to make sure nobody gets them and die (as this would reset ON/OFF switch position forcing the player to get normal exit).
