That might be a good idea, raocow. I think you might be stretching yourself thin playing 4 games, especially with stuff that can be as difficult as this, or as unpredictable as Sonic can be.

Re: VIP6 - Shimane
Probably not intentional, but raocow talking about how interesting the concept of downward autoscrolling while swimming was because he didn't remember encountering that idea before ended up being a nice stealth burn on the downward autoscrolling swimming level he got so bored with the other day.
It's also a nice illustration of how different level designs can affect a player's perception of the same concept. I especially found it interesting that today's downward autoscrolling segments looked to me like they would benefit just as much from memorization as the one that felt rote for raocow to play, but in different ways that led to different experiences. Even though a lot of today's setups helped to know what was coming in advance, they still presented danger that can engage your reflexes, which i guess is right up raocow's alley, compared to the other day where a lot of stuff slowly approached you in the same way every time and you had to either read the safe paths or learn the right positioning. It probably also didn't help that the first one had a particularly hard set-up right at the end (including a bullet bill ambush that is basically un-dodgeable if you happen to be in the wrong place on the screen the first time you encounter it) that led to redoing everything a lot, and the general set-up with spikes and note blocks everywhere made it feel more crammed.

The horizontal section was definitely unneeded. Otherwise, it was pretty interesting!

4 permanent sides is probably bad for you long-term anyway, so go for it! It was worth a try, but I feel like you should leave yourself plenty of time to do stuff other than your job, even if you enjoy your job.
I'll miss VIP6 for a bit but it'll be back.

Since I don't watch it, how much of VLDC X is there left anyways?

That's so weird you got the B0 lives glitch because I literally just learned about that like a week ago from this tweet

I had no idea about it after all these years of following romhacks

The forward levitation glitch was legitimately hilarious and I am glad it was the key to getting the moon (among other prizes). That was proper VIPpitude.

Re: VIP6 - Tokushima
I am surprised the second half wasn't an autoscroll. If you're going to make a VIP Endgame level, flip all the middle fingers, not just a few.

that's a pretty good guide, skye. I was completely unaware a secret exit even existed.

Re: VIP6 - Ehime
I liked this boss, as simple as it was. It gets around the "wait around uselessly until RNG deems you worthy of ammo" problem by spamming ammo pretty frequently.
A shame it came at the end of that nightmare of a stage, though.

Re: VIP6 - Ehime
I found the boss very annoying on the other hand, especially when Morton appears in the upper 2 spots (he is very hard to aim at).
I really like the brown block room (it feels frantic and thrilling), as well as the incredibly creative puzzles made out of boss fights. (There is a Wendy boss that you can't kill, but you have to the dummies to bridge a gap).
The star room is hell and best avoided.

for the 2nd DC, i think you were supposed to ride the moving stairs to get at eye level with the flying koopa, and then take damage to make him turn to face you so he starts moving left. using the shell to make him turn around was inconsistent because the way he oscillates up and down is RNG.
