All the Touhou 1CCs minus the spinoffs and Phantasmagoria games = 15 games, one per episode

All the numbered Final Fantasys = 15 games, one per episode

Yes, each episode would be at least 20 hours long
Well it is a decent hack but sometime its just too repetitif there no level that actually pop in your face and your like oh yeah that level they all ressemble themselves and just monster along the way.

1. It will be complete in 15 videos exactly
2. It has difficulty levels
3. It is very hard
4. It's something that would warrant being a mystery.

Anybody got any ideas? Maybe a short IWBTG fangame?
Oh right

he also said the game was repetitive (and IIRC wouldn't be surprised if people got bored watching), but he would enjoy playing it.

I don't think a difficulty change in Isaac would help, if raocow's already having trouble

I mean it might BE IWBTG itself. Though if I can get through the early sections in less than 4.5 hours I'm sure he can, so that makes me doubt it.

Want to be even more terrified? It could just be Phantasmagoria of Flower View. 14 characters + Extra mode = 15 episodes. It has difficulty levels. It's DEFINITELY very hard. EDIT: It would also be very repetitive.

I had this sinking feeling just now of the scenario where after reconsideration he scraps this idea and it will remain a permanent mystery

I'd feel very mixed to see All The Touhous because while I adore Touhou, I'm pretty sure raocow's said he wouldn't enjoy playing the games, especially in LP form. But then again, if he's let slip that it's one of his favorite games, it's probably Binding of Isaac after all.

On that note though, the way I'd love to see raocow put the Touhou requests to bed would be by doing a real-lifecore of every game: One credit, normal difficulty, and then never again. That'd be hilarious and not too stressful.

The above, from the COMING UP NEXT thread, means it is not IWBTG, Touhou, or Binding of Isaac, because many people would be all over unironically making threads for those.

for the sake of my own health I decided to replace the mystery game by another kindred spirit mystery game (don't worry I'll mention my original intent somewhere)

This reminds me of when Horikawa jumped straight into hard mode of Nier Automata for a blind LP and spent several videos stuck in the prologue.

If raocow has to abandon for health reasons i'm going to guess he was attempting to film himself running a marathon. Although i secretly hoped that the mystery box was actually just performance art of raocow not doing anything, filming a short video each night about what went wrong in his "attempt", and then eventually abandoning it and never mentioning the true nature of it to anyone ever.

:catplanet: Half credit if you guess at least the series and also double score if you're the only one to get it correct

Too many hints and you get points taken off :catplanet2:

I don't consider PoFV to be that hard compared to the more mainline games in the series. (I beat story mode with all the characters in normal, and extra mode with Komachi, Shiki, Aya.) The main reason I'm more comfortable with this game than others is that you have more than one hit point. In typical shmup games the whole thing is one large marathon, and you have to manage your given lives and resources through the whole thing; one mistake and you lose a given resource that can affect the whole thing. But in PoFV you can take multiple hits, and only once you run out you lose a life permanently. You don't have to use a bomb in advance to have that benefit.

I haven't entered one in years 'cause they stopped being posted as announcements and I never venture south of the "let's play" subforum, but ok. Your pitch will earn you at least one more entry!

I have to disagree from my own experience. Yes, you have more than one hit point, but unlike other Touhou games, the computer can and will cheat the hell out of you. And there are plenty of cases where there is absolutely no way out of something, unlike the more mainstream games where every attack has an approach and a strategy for dealing with it. PoFV can just say "screw you, you die now." And there's very little you can do to actually speed up the AI's demise, unless you play as Medicine who breaks them with her slowdown special. I've beaten the scenario with every character, but it took a lot longer than with other Touhous I practiced regularly. (I'll grant I'm not awesome at these types of games anyway, but at least I can chalk my other struggles up purely to execution.)

Anyway, I don't actually think that's what it was, but I'm ever more curious what it was now.

My initial private guess that I didn't tell anyone but I totally swear is true you all have to believe me was something renowned for being absolutely godawful, like Cheetahmen or Superman 64. I can't think of anything famously terrible that would lead to a play session of four hours that produces a switch to a "kindred spirit" mystery game instead of any meaningful video footage, though.

The "no one will want to make a thread for this game" is an interesting wrinkle as well.

Could it be a porn game? Maybe seeing that Reimu art at the end of NSML reignited a flame first kindled by Rabi-Ribi? That would certainly fit the "no one will want to make a thread for this game" criteria. I could see trying to record the original Fate/Stay Night VN for four hours only to not get any useful video footage. Or what about NekoPara? Is that game hard/pointless to record?
