Time to once again watch videos of the DKL game and then compare them with DKC game videos to appreciate the latter - although the Land game looks pretty decent as of now.

So in stilt levels, you can't swim above the column walls of the boardwalk but you can swim through them? Weird.

My impression of this game being fairly boring has not been changed. DKL 1 got some interesting levels near the end... can we hope???

DKL1 was weird, like a foreign soda made with a fruit you think you might recognise but you don't.

DKL2 was wrong like alcohol-free vodka or Dr Pepper Zero. Just... missing everything that made its real counterpart what it is.

DKL3 is tap water. It is incredibly familiar and plain.

Yeah, pretty much have the same feeling. It feels like a completely competent game that has a few moments where it goes a bit above or below that mark. DKL2 was really hard to watch through, DKL's worst bits were with the odd death zones and sky treadmill levels, but this one just seems to be a whatever game that does nothing to wow you either way. Hopefully it doesn't screw things up as it goes along.
